After its release back in May 2014, 'Fine' became an integral part of Los Suruba's rise to prominence - receiving support from the likes of Maceo Plex, Steve Lawler, Dubfire, Hot Since 82, Blond:ish, Slam, Tim Green, Umek, DJ T, Groove Armada…
Now, as a thank you to their fans as well as marking the 50th release on their acclaimed imprint 'Suruba', a remix package of 'Fine' featuring Stan Ritch, Sebastian Roya, Upercent and Slow Hearts will be available to buy on 26th January. 
With the original delivering some of Los Suruba's signature bass heavy techno overlaid with the heartfelt vocals of Sutja Gutierrez, its latest remixes are equally impactful - and represent a group of up and coming producers the duo are keen to unearth. Stan Ritch's rework opens the package and explores a much darker realm of production, whilst Sebastian Roya strips back its vocals to transform 'Fine' into an atmospheric club construction. Upercent delivers a punchy rework to follow, whilst Slow Hearts wraps up the package with a deep offering that greatly compliments the duo's musical direction. 
Having met at design college in 2001, Alvaro and Delmar hold a longstanding dedication to the underground house music scene.

After making impact with their illustrious 'Mantis EP' in 2012, the duo's versatility and innate intuition set them up for their most exciting gig of 2013; their summer residency at ANTS at Ushuaia, Ibiza which they have since upheld for a second year running.  Also counting highlights with longtime compadre Edu Imberon on ‘Fayer’ and 'Brutus', as well as closing 2014 with 'Thunderfuck', Los Suruba's multi-dimensional blueprint is sure to carry vibrations of the fading summer season far into the new year.

 “Backyard” captivates you from the very first second: a throbbing bassline sets the tone, entangled by a melody that manages to sound both warm and analogue as well as inapproachably cool and sexy; that evokes memories of early eighties Hip-Hop and old computer games while embodying electro of the most progressive sort. Guest singer David Manning, like Monte from the Baalsaal / JEUDI Records camp, rounds up the whole affair by adding warm vocals about love in our emotionally cold times: “Stone cold love in the backyard“. 
“That statement reflects 90% of today’s generation”, assures Monte. “Everyone’s connected, postings here and selfies there, but there’s no real connection. Even when you sit at the same table with people, conversations are monosyllabic and everyone instantly pulls out their smartphone. It’s pretty much impossible to really get through to a person these days”, says Monte, musing: “We’re on the wrong track, moving apart instead of towards one another”.
Human relations in the age of social media –  a topic otherwise researched in complex academic studies is delivered by Monte in a single, emotionally and atmospherically dense song.
