Warriors Part 2 is the new track from The Banger Factory's new album Warriors, releasing on Banger Factory Records. Composed by Mark Kavuma and performed with Theo Erskine and Ruben Fox, this 8-minute long monster of a track is 'a maelstrom of turbulent grooves, inspiring solo's and shifting tempo's'.

Premiere: The Banger Factory - Warriors Part 2

The third single to be taken from the forthcoming album ‘The Globeflower Masters Vol.2’. Glenn and Mark have crafted a rich tapestry of cinematic funk and European Library music. Inspired by such luminaries as Roger Webb, Stefano Torossi, David Axelrod & Serge Gainsbourg.

The 'Calico Suite' finds Glenn and Mark shifting gears for what is their most uptempo track released to date. 

Looser and imbued with more swagger than previous productions, 'Calico Suite' enters into tight and slightly edgy 60s library funk territory before mutating into dreamy 70s Headhunters-esque jazz-funk. Balancing light and shade, the triumvirate of Glenn’s bass grooves, Mark’s rhythmic Clavinet and electric piano playing, and John Maiden's drums interact with perfection.

of the flower is about a girl sitting on the edge of an enormous white flower,  her legs dangling from it. The full flower forest around her is displaying itself fully at the moonlight. The bendy detuned synths and vocals symbolize the gentle movement of the petals moved by the breeze. This song is about a “let me be” kind of feminism. Let me breathe, walk alone at night without being scared, allow me to flourish without restrictions.

We love to support new artists at MIMS and Rupert Cox is no exception. The talented pianist is the latest signing on London's essential Albert's Favourites label, and today they share his beautiful debut single, "Embers".

Rupert is an engaging and versatile pianist whose sound has already reached people through work with China Moses, Judi Jackson, Rhys Lewis, Myele Manzanza and many more.

Citing Blake Mills, Genevieve Artadi and Brad Mehldau as pivotal influences, his solo music covers a huge range, often melancholic, reflective and cerebral but unafraid to play with positivity and joy at times. 

His introduction to the world, "Embers", carries the imprint of artists like Eno and Laraaji, a beguiling, ambient leaning piano exploration, lifted along by sparse percussion, sensitive synthesiser and guitar play.

Albert's Favourites co-founder Adam Scrimshire shared some more background on how the signing came about: "We kind of had a mission this year to see what was possible with the label and the most fulfilling part has unquestionably been seeing the family really grow, and grow through natural connections. Rupert was first introduced to me by Yusuf Ahmed of Qwalia, who came to us through Huw Marc Bennett. This is the dream really, all these personal connections and new friendships. Rupert's album is really special and we're grateful to get to represent it."

The single introduces you to some of Rupert’s rich sonic palette while leaving so much to be discovered. We can't wait to her more from this essential new creator in the London music community.
