Files bossman and 2014 RBMA Tokyo alumnus Krizzli brings some minimalistic heat in the form of the 3 tracks that got him into the academy this year. 

Krizzli of Lausanne was a man of many talents and occupations before shifting his full focus to music production - among them studying space technology, co-running a Swiss electronic music label and playing the clarinet in a marching band. 

Krizzli's alias is inspired by a grizzly bear and his music is inspired by anything he thinks is fun. It would be hard and unfair to label these tracks as something genre-specific, since they come from various places and influence pools, but what they do have in common is, as Sluggy Ranks would put it, their positive vibes and conscious style. 

21 Hundreds is a sort of a 3-stage platform game made of witty percussion and samples, where surprising sounds just keep popping up all over the place. Space grime meets hybrid bass music meets explosions meets abstract rhythms, if you wish. 2014 was a great debut year for this Swiss producer and 2015 will probably be even more so.

After joining the Enchufada family in early 2014 with the massive zouk anthem Threepeat on our 'We Call It Zouk Bass Volume I' compilation, Swedish DJ and producer Dance Kill Move is back to Lisbon's most tropical label with the blazing hot Sexton. 

Dance Kill Move has already made a name for himself on the Global Club Music scene with exciting hybrid riddims that explore anything from cumbia to dancehall and, of course, zouk bass, always with a tropical edge and thumping beats tailor-made for the dancefloor. 

His latest cut Sexton is no exception to the rule as a heavyweight zouk-leaning beat immediately gets hips moving, laying the groundwork for an accordion loop that what will surely be considered one of Global Club Music's most festive and tropical melodies yet. And that's really saying something.

As festival season goes on forever, so can The Model's four tracks. These heavy hitting floor stompers are pretty much the difference between slow­burners and longplay tracks.

Classical yet full of personality in his approach, The Model brought the conventional and unconventional together -­ it's throwback, it's familiar, it's techno, it's house but most of all, it's big and surprising. The Model comes with a seemingly lifelong experience and background of constant rinsing and testing what works and what doesn't for all sorts of crowds, so all four tracks, though different in style, are booming with vocal flourishes and themes that will get stuck in your head.

This is a rare example of an EP that you can play out in its entirety at different times in one set.

The Model has previously released on Traum Schallplatten, Crosstown Rebels and Gigolo Records and is also fresh off great success with his newly launched imprint, Adult Central.

Presenting the first single taken from Gabriele Poso’s forthcoming compilation on Mr Bongo, Ritmo Italiano ‘Unspoken Sounds of Italian Tamburo’. Tony Cercola ‘Lumumba’ is just one of the mesmerising tracks that Sardinian multi-instrumentalist, percussionist and producer, Poso, has curated for this captivating new compilation. It’s an under-the-radar, percussive Italo-disco / proto-house dancer, originally landing on the Italian label Tendance in 1987.

“How can one not be overwhelmed by the energetic force of Tony Cercola? An incredible artist who emerged in the 1970s within the so-called Neapolitan Power movement,” Gabriele mentions. Cercola’s track ‘Lumumba’ showcases the vibrance of Italy’s cultural crossroads, with influences from the Mediterranean, Africa and Europe all rolled into this dynamic tribal whirlwind.

Built upon a foundation of gated snares, flavourful bongos and a driving synth pop bassline, ‘Lumumba’ oozes ‘80s dancefloor energy. Reverberating chords and deft keys are layered up in masterful fashion, as earworm chants and a hypnotising lead vocal draw you in deeper. It's a perfect crossover track for a leftfield electronic dancefloor set and is tailormade to ramp up the intensity when the time is right.
