3) Your vocal perfect, it is captivating with subtle use of verb, and the performance is emotionally available not pretentiously or ostentatiously so, 4) Mix at 1:06 true stereo is perfect(!!!!) opens up the chorus, 5) Perfect lazy feel in the groove where time stays true. 6) I can hear ALL of your infuences for a perfect assimilation into your true artistry in songwriting to capture a deep emotional moment. 7) Arrangement, textures, use of harmonies, I could go on but then you might think me disingenuous. No "abuse of computers" but reverence for talent, skill, and the time it takes to create something lasting. Bravo. 2

1) Shivers at that chorus!!! Visceral!!! 2) Impressive that you did this without a computer. I know about this...talking first real recording studios, SOS Sony reel-to-reel bouncing tracks to do multi-tracking, mic-ing things, then 4-tracks, 8-tracks etc. The way thing used to be done. Get it right or do it again. No comping. Makes you stronger, better, doing things with minimal tools. Gets you good at playing to a click track. My humble and maybe futile opinion. My sister and I cared for mum in her own home for the last ten years, going every day. Mum had been diagnosed with vascular dementia. This song is more about what I could see coming, the bad days, as at this time mum was still more lucid than not. Daphne Gennery passed away peacefully on the 30th of August 2025 at the age of 95, in her own home, in her own bed.....something that she always wanted....no hospital or care home.

Take a large bucket. Add a pint of Neil Young, a pinch of Glen Hansard. Wack in a tea spoon of Damien Rice, then an ickle bit of Tom Mcrae. Shove in a hand full of Mike Scott, a heaped table spoon of Neil Finn and a large dollop of Conor J. O'Brien. Mix with a big stick then strain through an old sock. Pour. Hello good people of the cloud.
I play everything in real time and record and master on a Tascam DP 32 Portastudio. Although three of the older songs on here where recorded on a 8 track tape recorder through an old seck analogue desk.
No pc's are used or abused in the process of me music making. I love tactile recording. Switches, faders, pots and buttons. Mouses are for computers and eating cheese. No Mac, Daws or Windows, Midi or overused plugins. And no automated mixing, compromise being a large part of my final sound.
