Before I could make it to him, he collapsed to the ground from a neon sparkling wound to the chest. Not another one. We already don’t have enough. I immediately stopped running, spread open my wings, thrust upwards to attack a pegasus enemy before he attacked one of ours. As I looked down to see how far I flew up, I was knocked down, the ground becoming closer and closer. I tried to prevent myself from hitting the ground but the rapid decrease in distance between the ground and I and the hit from the airborne enemy had caused the plan to turn from a success into a failure. I hit the ground, everything turning into a pitch black. All of the noise from screaming, armed forces, faded and faded until nothing could be heard but a high pitched ringing.
