A podcast about queer storytelling across multiple mediums and venues. It is about discovering and sharing the experiences and challenges of being an queer storyteller in this modern age of pride and expression. This is about our collective journeys as artists. Join us for the conversations. We don't claim to have answers, but through our frank deep dive conversations we'll explore the craft of our artistry, albeit with a decidedly queer slant.

Having taken piano lessons at a young age and learning how to play the guitar as teenager, music has always been a great love to me.  Wanting to explore music further, I went on to study music at both Liverpool Community Arts College and Liverpool Hope University.  I graduated from Hope University in 2007 with a BA Combined in Music and Music Technology, gaining a 2.1.  
Today, I tend to write/record music as a hobby when the mood takes me.

After originally studying visual art at Central Saint Martins, Marcus moved into music and theatre and has been a writer and performer for over twenty years. He has studied singing with Mary King, devising with Emma Rice’s School for Wise Children and acting with Chris New at The Actors Centre.

His show Postcards from God - The Sister Wendy Musical has been presented at Jermyn Street Theatre in London's West End, at Hackney Empire Studio Theatre and South London Theatre, with its Concept Cast Recording receiving airplay from Elaine Paige and Graham Norton on BBC Radio Two. His debut album Quicksilver - The Masquerade Macabre, singles, EPs and audiobook of poetry have received critical acclaim and local radio airplay across the UK.

Marcus has performed live sets and solo shows at venues and festivals including:

As part of London's alternative cabaret circuit he performed alongside such luminaries as David Hoyle, Dickie Beau and Jonny Woo, sung in Our Lady J’s gospel choir at Soho Theatre and supported RuPaul’s Drag Race star Adore Delano at the legendary Black Cap. Through Southbank Centre's Voicelab, he sang with Mercury Music Prize winners Elbow, jazz improvisation icon Bobby McFerrin, beat boxer Shlomo and UK jazz legend Ian Shaw in choirs led by Dom Stichbury, Laka D and Mary King. Other highlights include a star studded celebration of David Bowie at Union Chapel which also featured Glen Matlock, David McAlmont, The Magic Numbers and Dan Gillespie Sells of The Feeling, and supporting Tom Robinson at a fundraiser for the Russian LGBT Network.

He has written articles for Time Out, Beige and Polari Magazine and with live performances, readings and screenings of his work at venues including BAC, the Kings Head and the ICA, Marcus has established a firm reputation as a versatile man of words and music.
