My new motto: "if we're respected only when we become the best, then we'll forever be depressed, but if you respect our progress, then we'll forever maintain interest"

Music is all I really have. Nothing else. I lie, okay, I got family & friends too.

When I first joined soundcloud I used to produce under the brand 'ASTRO' (Always Selecting The Rebellious Option), but I scrapped the soundcloud page when it had about 3500 followers, because I was unhappy with an average of 35 likes per song, I felt like I was becoming a slave to statistics so I wanted to just start again. Also I was using a small robot as an avatar which came from the game Little Big Planet but I wouldn't be able to represent that if I were to play a live set, so I wanted a brand that was free of character based imagery.

I picked the brand 'Origami', which later became 'Xrigami' as that was a more unique google search term. I still have a bunch of music on soundcloud under that brand, although I don't use that brand anymore for new music.

Most recently I presented music with the brand 'Poledance Vampires', and the latest one I came up with was '36 Hours To Live'.

I've learned to make music in a lot of different genres... Hip Hop & RnB, then Progressive House, Electrohouse, Complextro, Dubstep, Drumstep, Big Room, Moombahcore, DnB, French House, Glitch-hop, Alternative Electronica, Breakbeat & Trap.

I'm inspired by the life of Van Gogh, because his art was respected after he died, so I'm able to make music even if I don't see it get the recognition I naively imagined when I started.

At the crossroads between melodic-synthetic electro and planet opera, R82 delivers an ultra visual cosmic journey. 
With his first album "Flying High", the Frenchman builds a bridge with no frills between two parallel unrealities, that of pure eighties rhythm and that of unbridled imagination and eclectic decorations of Hollywood movie sets. Going through the tracklist, we remember several walks in the stars, in spacesuits or naked in the decompression airlock, in a stationary state, hanging from a boiling and unknown planet, or at full throttle above a forest filled with strange creatures. We listen to them in order, in one go, immersing ourselves in each track, eyes closed, like in a good old Sci-Fi book. If you have antennae growing, you will know where it comes from.

Sometimes this life feels like a movie...so I guess the music I make is my personal soundtrack to it...Hope you enjoy...
