I thought that the relatively straightforward story-telling aspect of this song lent itself to a country feel. Plus making a country tune was floated as an idea during the last listening session and I took it on as a personal challenge. 

The lyrics are about one iteration of myself telling an earlier one that I was wrong about much of what I thought I knew to be true, and then turning around and insisting that I know what the future will bring -- a deep irony that I only grasp periodically.

Lyrics:
