Eduardo Mireles-Cabodevila, MD, director of the Medical Intensive Care Unit at Cleveland Clinic, joins this episode of Respiratory Inspirations to discuss the details of respiratory support and therapy in the ICU. He goes on to explain the processes and devices used by the care team to help ICU patients with respiratory failure. Yet space calls with her infinite light.

Out through the clouds, I flirt with my muse,

In ebb and flow with this cosmic tide,
I dance on the edge where the worlds collide.
I’m ready to cross that galactic divide,
Yet, in gravity’s mind, I belong on this side.

The vacuum whispers in silence I’m told,
Stories of worlds a billion years old.
I want to break loose from gravity’s hold,
But I’m simply too weak, truth be told.

The stars, they witness my cosmic plight,
Glued to the earth but bathed in their light.

As the spirit within tries to take flight.

I beg for destiny to whisk me away.
But gravity's force is still in play,
