Alvin Garcia is a DJ/Producer born and raised in Manati, Puerto Rico. From an early age he had a very big approach to music. But, it was not until 2007 where he decided to step in music by the ability to play instruments and also a DJ. In the beginning he was dedicated to mix Urban/Latin music and various activities, including night clubs in his area. He was known by many, especially by friends and classmates, by Duma.

Back in 2010, Alvin made ​​a radical change by getting involved with electronic music and the production of it. Testing several different genres of the dance music world, he chose House Music. He focused especially on the Electro-leaning Progressive House.

In 2012, he created his own record label called AMS Records. Their main goal is to promote DJs/Producers from Puerto Rico to the world. The record label is selling songs on iTunes and Beatport.

Alvin Garcia has created original songs dedicated to a particular style. This style incorporates several instruments and sounds that give the song a different and unique vibe. His songs carry feelings, emotions and experiences through his journey in music and also in his personal life. Each song has a story. This makes him a Dance Music Producer very different from the others.

Alvin García es un DJ/Productor nacido y criado en Manatí, Puerto Rico. Desde muy pequeño tenia un acercamiento muy grande a la música. No fue hasta el 2007 donde decidió dar un paso en la música mediante la habilidad de tocar instrumentos y la vez ser un DJ.  En sus comienzos se dedicaba a las mezclas de música latina y urbana en diversas actividades, incluyendo “night clubs” en su área. Fue conocido por muchos, especialmente por amigos y compañeros de clase, por Duma. 

Ya en el 2010, Alvin dio un cambio radical al envolverse con la música electrónica y en la producción de ella. Probando varios géneros del diverso mundo de la música dance, escogió como el suyo el House. Se enfoco especialmente en el Progressive House con tendencias Electro. 

En el 2012, creo su propio sello discográfico llamado AMS Records. Su meta principal es promover DJs/Productores de Puerto Rico al mundo.  El sello discográfico tiene a la venta las canciones en iTunes y Beatport. 

Alvin García se dedica ha crear canciones originales con un estilo particular. Este incorpora varios instrumentos y sonidos que le dan a la canción un estilo único y diferente. Sus canciones llevan sentimientos, emociones y experiencias vividas a través de su recorrido en la música y también de su vida personal. Cada canción tiene su historia. Esto lo hace un productor de música Dance muy diferente a los demás.

this my old bio........I got over 12 years in this business . But thats not all. I'm also an artist trying to combine both of my passions together. So when you get Carlitoz the maestro; you get an artist of many trades and a great person who loves the greater things in life. I'm always trying something new with music. Give me anything and I can mix it. . I can spin on cds just as good as any record. Not to mention, I've been  producing almost everyday lateli. I can't express enough how much I have to offer the human ear. My sound takes you into a beautiful, intricate journey of the nether world and beyond, no matter what style, event, or venue im playing, i give you the best of the maestro. I am willing to devote hours of my life to giving the world amazing new tracks. I've already dedicated hours upon hours to djing, and listening to all different types of DJs, musicians, MCs, and producers over the years. There's so many I could name, but I wont. The list would take forever to type, and because I never stop finding new, good music out there, the list would be endless. And to those aspiring DJs, out there. all I can say is; buy a set of turn tables, some good records, cds, and just listen. If I could, I would try to teach everyone the way of the DJ.. It's like any other instrument. There are so many techniques and ways to create sounds on them, as well as so many mixing styles. Appreciate a wide variety of good music. that's what it really comes down to. Wide record selection.careful mixing. a passion to read the crowd.great promotion. and an understanding of what will make the people dance.. The last is something that can only be acquired from direct, hands-on experience. Meaning. just get your ass out there and party. I spent so many years partying all over the East coast, just trying to find that perfect sound, the journey, atmosphere, or venue that I could connect deelply with. I would dance for hours and days. meeting some of the craziest and greatest people on the way. The more I'd listen, and the more DJs I'd see. The more I wanted to be a DJ/producer. Not for the fame, glory, and money, because believe me, that ain't easy, but just because I love the music and mixing everything and producing anything I can get my hands on. It was at 611 Records where my growth began
But also did my record and cd shopping at satellite records,cue records, about the beat records,funk o mart, and home of trance in NY. Back in the day there was always a constant stack of cheap records I could add to my collection. And man did it grow. From Breaks and DnB, electro, to House and hard Techno. Rock and Metal, I now love it all, all electronic music....I really love all the styles.........but my producing focus is techno and breaks...
..... People are  always telling me to stick with one style, but that's not me. I love it all. After awhile I got sick of all the drama going on in scenes. I stopped allowing myself to be associated with any one scene, so as to avoid the bulshitl. 
I realize great music has the power to bring all people from all different backgrounds together. That alone can change lives. To me, it's important to have something like that in your life. It's my motivation for what I do. I want to bring all the great musical styles, arts, and people together. They belong together. The same rule that applies to people applies to music. We shouldn't keep them separated. No one style, race, or anything else is better than the next. Not Rock or Metal. Hardcore, Gabber, or breaks, Electro, dubb, house. psytrance, jungle .dubb step,all styles are equal.. so keep listening and learning. My goal in creating music is pretty basic......create and experiment with sound, ..with dark, acid, gothic creepy  experimetation of sounds...revealing the dark psichy of the mind with a funky twist that  teases the mind with rhythmic melodies....using my knoledge of psychadelics, breaks, techno,acid, gothic, nether, ambience, atmospheric, lounge and  old school, I combine what I know to bring you my sound....so enjoy ...and hope you have me at your next event....
