Solid Steel (20th September) Strictly Kev gives us a companion to his earlier 'O Is For Orange' mix with another selection based around the Boards of Canada sound called 'T Is For Trapped'. Hitting a more techno vein for the first half, he threads tracks from The Simonsound, Sanctums, Alva Noto and Boards in their Hell Interface guise into the travelogue. There's unreleased material in the form of his extended re-edit of 'Reach For The Dead' and the Peel Session track 'XYZ' as well as lead track by Le Boac, a new project by Posthuman. He then takes it into darker ambient territory with John Carpenter, Alan Howarth and Vangelis before emerging into the sunlight with a whole heap of older Ghost Box material.

The true progenitors of the darkest art: heavy metal. Birthed in the industrial fug of 1960s Birmingham, Black Sabbath set themselves apart from other rock bands of the era, espousing occult themes in their lyrics, and playing their guitars at a menacing downtune.

There are perhaps no better ears for melody in the Detroit techno canon than those belonging to John Beltran. Born just outside the city in nearby Lansing, Michigan, Beltran cut his teeth in the early '90s, releasing on a who's who of impressive '90s dance music stables like R&S, and Damon Booker's shortlived Sinewave Records. 

Beltran's typical sound floats somewhere above the robotic groove of Detroit. The mechanic pulse of drum machines are subdued or forgone entirely in favour of delicate and complex rolling melodies, edging towards new age music in moments - it's no surprise - Beltran is an avid fan of the genre.

St Celfer é um multiartista de origem coreana e americana que vive atualmente entre São Paulo e Seattle. Admirador do grunge de Seattle, esteve na cena nova-iorquina dos anos 2000 se apresentando, entre outros lugares, em CBGB, The Kitchen, Tonic, The Tank, Remote Lounge, Galapagos Art Space, Sputnik e Stinger Club.

Em 2018 veio ao Brasil expor “Space Between Points” (“Espaço Entre Pontos”), série de desenhos que fez parte da exposição “Memorial do Desenho” no Museu de Arte Contemporânea da USP. Durante sua mais recente jornada artística exploratória, desenvolveu a obra "Ruído entre pixels” (“noise in between pixels”). O artista vem passar uma temporada em São Paulo e no Espaço Garganta irá apresentar seu mais recente trabalho em música e arte experimental. A partir de um instrumento, caseiro ou mais precisamente, uma “gambiarra”, em português brasileiro, produz uma música a partir da captura de sons do ambiente por meio de um microfone interconectado ao equipamento. Com isso cria uma futura máquina que combina partes musicais redundantes ou reaproveitadas, sendo capaz de gerar as mais complexas estruturas de improvisação. O som é amalgamado e reproduzido pelo Step.4D , isso gera uma performance sonora intrigante e contagiante.
