Self taught, multi instrumentalist, cosmic noodle weaver and postcard porn star with a splash of the 80's Snake Plisskin magnetism thrown in for good measure doesn't even come close to describing this musical genius. In fact, none of the above sounds remotely like this numpty whose page you have the misfortune of stumbling across.

Music that has been lost, found, subjected to public enquiry, lost again, and finally buried in soft peat for three months and recycled as firelighters. Lovingly created using oddball guitars and secondhand transistors.

DFZ has been working with computers and music since the late 90s, honing his craft and understanding of music composition, arrangement, and sound design and audio engineering.

Has had his music played on International networks for millions of people, featuring in trailers & independent film. His Duduk playing can be found in several trailer albums by leading composers, and recently video game soundtracks like Stronghold Crusader II by Firefly studios.

As a Sound Engineer doing live sound and recordings in Gloucestershire UK, I have built up an online portfolio to share with you all.

I studied Music Tech at Gloucester College receiving an overall Distinction on the course. Working hard to get where I am today, I joined the production team at my local church and trained on their sound desk, which has lead to the cool opportunities to work the sound desk at local events, with the chance to try different mic techniques, constantly researching new and old techniques to find the ones that I think will suit me and my style of sound well. I head up the Recording department at One Church and have been working alongside them as a live and a recording engineer, I am so thankful and want to keep learning and progressing.

I work as a solo artist and producer making conscious and spiritual UK roots and dub in my home studio.  As a fan of reggae since the golden era of 70's Jamaican music the work I do is infused with some of the vibes from that time as well as embracing the digital revolution.   

I have little interest in "the business" and mostly make what I do available to those who wish to hear.  I have done collaborative works with artists from all over the globe and Talking Dog dubplates have been played by soundsystems on every continent and in many countries.  

I use some Iyahrric vocabulary to express certain things, but I am not about trying to sound like I was born in Jamaica!   My livity is based in the UK, so when i sing, I sing out of who I am.  Roots is universal music and can speak to everybody in its own terms without anyone having to adopt a persona that is not really who they are.  

I also contribute to the transglobal dub fusion collective "Secret Archives of the Vatican"
