Most people I encounter behind the ones and twos are delightful, however there have been enough people who seemed like perfectly decent human beings when they thought I was just a guest at the party, only to behave on the ruder side of douchy when asking me for a request. Imagine walking into a nuclear power plant and making a request? “I need you to make sure that my house never loses power in the next outage!” Most people would not even consider this an option but they feel like they can tell the DJ that they “Need to play something we can dance to!” The number of times that this very statement has been said to me, in the middle of a mix, while two songs with two drummers that need to be nudged into sync are playing at the same time TO A PACKED DANCE FLOOR, would blow your mind. This mega mix is dedicated to all of those control freaks out there that think they can do my job better than I can. It’s dedicated to everyone who was leaving the party early, that I will never see again, who insist I play their request next.
