I noticed this in the intro, as well. I struggle with my mixes, so maybe I'm just wrong, but I'd like a more rounded, unified low-end here.

This track really works the tension-release dynamic with some really cool combinations of sounds. Good work.

Accomplished track and production! The arrangement feels a little sparse, there could be an opportunity to add some more instruments.

Nice drumming! Maybe the drums are a little quiet in the mix and could be a bit snappier.

Great atmosphere and sound design. Synth1 for everyone!

One Synth Challenge #121: Any One Synth

In this track for the OSC # 159 I used 33 instances of the free Surge XT synthesizer.

DAW: Cubase 11 Pro (Frequency, GEQ-30,  Stereo Delay,  Revelation, Tube Compressor, AutoPan and Maximizer)

Free 3rd party plugs: Panagement 2 by Auburn, Baby Come Back by Baby Audio, MCharmverb by Melda Production, Wider by Polyverse Music and Supermassive by Valhalla.

All sounds are TSOM originals. Except: Flutish Organ and the 10CC Choir Pad are tweaks I did with some wonderful presets by Martijn Deluxe. The Alien Voice has been created using the Vowel/Speech wavetable in Surge's TWIST engine.

I went for a big contrast... so watch out your volume  setting  :)

Made everything from scratch as I like to do. I had the impression I could have made 5 distinct tracks but that distorded sound I found out put me on rails for kind of a RATM tribute. So it got out pretty despaired and harsh, but I hope you enjoy listening to it nonetheless.

This is my submission for One Synth Challenge #121 by KVRAudio Forum. I have used 10 instances of Synth1 VST to create this track via FL Studio. Effects used for the track are a combination of DAW's native plugins and  free VSTs.

Here's my entry for the OSC 10 Year Anniversary! After initializing 5 or 6 projects with various commercial synths, Krakli Plugins' free synth YAVA4 was ultimately the one to inspire my muse. So thanks to Ian Webster for a fun synth that sounds brilliant! 

I can warmly recommend this synth for bird song, orchestral textures, electric guitars and synthwave. Probably for everything else you throw at it, too! :)
