Now is the true beginning..We might not have the answers..but everything is about to change[jim mystic manser]

All my childhood idols seem to be passing on ..maybe time and life is too short,and as we age time seems to be getting faster.
I also feel we are living in a polarised society,where everybody has opposing viewpoints.
Maybe we just need to filter it all though and make the most of our time on this planet ...this became the theme of this song..life..death and art.
In the end we need to find happiness and love in what we do and who we are..and try to keep art and music alive in a global  community

Wasting My Time

A couple of single take jams on a Fender Stratocaster. The organ/harmonium sounds come from the strat played through an old Electro Harmonix pedal. The drums and sidekick were programmed but the extra percussion sounds were 'played' single take real time to try and help keep the feeling of performance.

Written by: Lennon-McCartney

Lennon had wanted I Am the Walrus to be The Beatles' next single after All You Need Is Love, but Paul McCartney and George Martin felt that Hello Goodbye was the more commercial song. The decision led to resentment from Lennon, who complained after the group's split that "I got sick and tired of being Paul's backup band".

The song was written in August 1967, at the peak of the Summer of Love and shortly after the release of Sgt Pepper. Lennon later claimed to have written the opening lines under the influence of LSD.

The first line was written on one acid trip one weekend, the second line on another acid trip the next weekend, and it was filled in after I met Yoko.

This track is about the "End of the World" ;-)
While playing the first riffs of this it sounded like a clone of Led Zeppelin. So I first called it "Zep's Clone". When it came to write the lyrics I couldn't get the word "clone" out of my head. So the story evolved about the last human beings cloning themselves to live on on a dying earth. It somehow fits to the ongoing climate debate. But after all, it's just some words from someone who is not good in writing lyrics.
Anyway, this is the 2nd track with my friend Marcus singing and the first track with my friend Maes playing bass. Both members of another band I played in for years. Both delivered absolutely stunning performances on vocals and bass and I can't thank them enough.
As always, thanks a lot for listening, commenting etc.
