Formed in 2019 as a sub-label of the tougher big brother Night Noise Music, the rising (& shining) French imprint Citizens Of Vice simply cannot get enough of releasing outstanding sophisticated music! One solid EP after the other work as proof of how refined and efficient is their curation process in order to select exactly the kind of sonority the platform aims to spread: Heavily Disco-infused House cuts with Soulful, Balearic, and Downtempo vibes.

Forthcoming on Citizens, Bonnie & Klein's "Bourbon Street", a double-distilled and oak barrel-aged spicy EP featuring two proper original cuts and two too-hot-to-trot remixes made with love by two C.O.V. favourites: Coyote and Rayko (SXDNS118). Premiered here, the latter's remarkable contribution.

Master Rayko needs no introduction. The Rare Wiri boss has already appeared on the most vital Modern/Nu Disco labels out there: Spa In Disco, Nang, Boite Music, Midnight Riot, Tom Tom Disco, Masterworks, and Golden Soul, just to name a few. He is now back again on Citizens Of Vice with a stinking remix of "Lobby Love". If Bonnie & Klein's original is an absurdly Mediterranean-soaked piece, Rayko's version brings the affair to a more Cosmic Funk environment. Still Balearic? Definitely, but groovier, sexier, and steamier. Probably the result of a good studio-meets-old-fashioned session.

Music For Swimming Pools returns with the Far Flung EP, 4 fresh originals from founder/producer Pete Herbert. Inspired, created and tweaked whilst on the road or while living in the tropics for a few years, this EP demonstrates Pete’s diverse and eclectic taste as well as his skills as a music producer. 
 
The title track Far Flung heads straight for late night pool party vibes with chunky bass, solid drums and old school piano riff action. Remix duties are performed by fellow island dweller Gold Suite who delivers a stunning sunset serenade, whilst Euro traveller In Flagranti gets seriously deep and uptempo.
 
Other sonic treats on the EP include Early One Evening with its jazzy, funky fusion feels, Dear Hector a delicious Balearic House dub and the highly tropical sounds of South Seas with its more laid back island rhythms.

Based in the beautiful and vibrant city of Madrid, Spanish DJ and Producer Extraordinaire - Rayko has been a leading light in the clubbing scene around Europe and beyond, since he founded his magnificent Rare Wiri label in 2008 where he has released some of the coolest names out there during all these years like Daniele Baldelli, Man Parrish, Gazeebo, Ilija Rudman, Ichisan, Spirit Catcher, Mushrooms Project, or Eric Duncan among many others

His very unique sound and personality, and incredible work ethic, coupled with  unstoppable creative genius have given Rayko the momentum and consistency to stack up a number of great achievements in his genres, although being such a humble and down to earth guy, he will tell you that he just loves what he does and is perpetually inspired to keep on doing it! 

Deeply rooted in the golden era of the ‘70s and ‘80s, Rayko’s influences are masterfully interpreted and transformed into modern day dancefloor bombs with great vision. His love affair with the evolution of synthesizers and vintage drum machines has gone on to heavily fuel his sound today, in addition to sonic desires of 80s Rock evident in his catalogue, that displays such exquisite musical versatility. 

Rayko is very proud to have featured on over fifty great vinyl releases, spread across labels such as Eskimo, Is it Balearic?, Whisky Disco, Lumberjacks in Hell, and Editorial, including two studio albums on Nang Recordings, in addition to over two hundred digital releases. Many of these titles have been repeatedly featured in Top 10 sales charts, with some releases making it to the coveted number one position on platforms like Juno Download, Beatport, and Traxsource. His talents as a remixer have been in constant high demand, with invitations from coveted Artists like Psychemagik, Sirs, In Flagranti, Roberto Rodriguez, or Dj Rocca, to name a few, calling upon his exceptional skills.

In his capacity as DJ, Rayko is much loved wherever he goes.
