Despite taking its name from a rather ludicrous imagined instrument, its been apparent from day dot that Lobster Theremin very much mean business. Since starting in the latter half of 2013 with Palms Trax's instantly beloved 'Equation' EP, Jimmy Asquith's label has churned out wax at a rate of knots. Whilst each release occupies its own stylistic niche, a 'Lobster Theremin sound' has gradually crystalised over time - with the label now recognised for its dusty interpolations of classic Midwestern American House and Techno.

Their latest release continues down this path, with Asquith once again unearthing a gem of an artist in the shape of London based newcomer, Ozel AB. His four track 'Crimes' EP starts with 'Sidestep To Your Left', a smokey cut that sultrily emerges from the mid-winter gloom. The press materials liken it to a, 'forum weirdo's reinterpretation of Moodymann's 'J.A.N' - which isn't far off the mark at all, given its ever so slightly off kilter Motor City throb. There's a slight distance about everything here too - from the detached insouciance of the sampled vocal, to the insistent yet softly lashing chords. With the EP's other three tracks continuing down the opaque trail blazed by the likes of Actress and his Werkdiscs cohorts, 'Crimes' is a collection that's deep, dark and imperfectly formed.

The Acid Series includes submissions from Tin Man & Ectomorph, Jasen Loveland, Justin Cudmore, BMG & Derek Plaslaiko, Jordan Zawideh, Dona, and Romans. They all arrive in a unique sleeve especially created for this series, inspired by the decorations of NWB. The first 2 volumes of the Acid Series will be available in the merch booth during all 313: Return to the Source events, including No Way Back.

And you can hear it in his music, that mesmerizing midwestern groove and deep heady thoughtfulness. He debuted on Honey Soundsystem Records, has released on The BunkerNY and is member of Hot Mix, a DJ trio that also includes Mike Servito and Gunnar Haslam.

After inaugurating the label with a first EP in december of 2014, Innershades returns home to deliver what will be the 6th release on 9300 Records. Kerrebroek Memories is the self made soundtrack of his childhood memories in the shared hometown of Aalst (Belgium). Expect to hear a homage to early Dutch electro with a modern twist and Innershades well known trademark for dancefloor injected house tracks. Rising Dutch star and new BFF of the Belgian 9300 family 'Betonkust' polished the A1-listed 'Darkness Fades' track into a melodious electro classic.

Joining Tartelet Records in its tenth year in business, young Copenhagen-based talent B FROM E hits the ground running with ‘Back From Eternity’; a trance-inducing garage house record for the hedonist in you.   B FROM E (Frej Garcia Levin) represents a new generation of talented young artists making waves in Copenhagen. Of Mexican-Danish descent, and born and raised in the notorious tower blocks of the southwestern suburbs of Copenhagen, the 27-year old is on the up-and-up. In high demand as the founder of boom bap rap group NATKAT, producer of pop outﬁt Ny Sensei (New Sensei) and head of tape-only label Buddahood, the multi-talent seems to have a hand in everything at the moment.   His 2017 debut ‘Porno TR-XXX’ (C.U.P) saw some of the hottest names in the game spinning B FROM E at last year’s Dekmantel festival, resulting in oﬀers from several well-known record labels. His new record on Tartelet Records comes as four cuts exploring diﬀerent paths of the garage house sound. The opener ‘Dark Energy’ is fueled by ﬁlthy breaks and a nostalgic theme that would not be out of place in an early Atari computer game. ‘The People (Dream Mix)’ is a trippy tour through subtle layered melodies, carried by a stripped-back groove.   On the B-side you will ﬁnd ‘Positive Sister (2605 Tool)’: a chunky cut with a serious bassline. Saving the best for last, ‘You Will See’, rounds oﬀ the record in style. A feel-good tune that is sure to get plenty of spins this summer. Body Promise returns to the tape format with a 12 chapter missive from the Australian underground.  With this stellar survey of corporeally-minded music, they compile some of the most interesting mutations of modern dance music. ​Smooth Sensation marks the third and final installment in the Body Promise compilation series.  
 As the reels begin to spin, ​Fia Fiell​ (One Third of Jaala) builds to a textured wash of sound that eases the listener into the varied and exhilarating world this tape compiles. The leisurely, dubbed-out atmosphere of Low Flung​ and ​Freda & Jackson​'s contributions preface the bass-heavy boisterousness that both ​HED Ardennes ​(Fishing, Body Promise) and ​Letabruthaknow ​(aka Setwun)​ ​favour. Fishing's ​The Ghan​ opts for a hypnotic approach that slowly binds the listener in its spell until they realize it's time to flip over the tape.  
 Waterhouse​ collates broken filaments of sound into a fissured mirror,  reflecting odd visions and ghostly presences. ​Lou Karsh​'s electro transmission has a spacey, introspective edge that it shares with the dissociative acid ​Andy Garvey​ has programmed for her return to the label. Both ​Lucy Cliche​ and ​DJ Yoni​ (Holy Balm) have been working at the nexus of DIY production and unruly electronics for aeons, each contributing demented dancefloor directives that are shot through with personality. We close with ​Emily Glass​’ alien oddity, a pendulum that swings from shuddering intensity to eerie ambience until the tape stops spinning.

INFO: There’s no stopping Theus Mago right now. Mexican cosmic groove wizard, Duro bossman all-round G; Mago continues to lay down gold after gold after gold. Hot on the heels of his Correspondant outing comes this deep hypno session on Pets. 
‘Baqa’ takes the lead, hurling us into some deep trance manoeuvres with its voodoo style chant and hunch-backed creepy chord progression. Total drama, done with class; there’s a lot of fun to be had with a track like this. ‘Jingo’ follows suit with another narrative-like atmosphere. Powered with a deep drive, laced with a little electro charm and armed with an elevated twist onto a whole other melodic plane just when you least expect it, this one’s so detailed you’ll find it hard to mix out of. 
Finally we have the brilliantly-titled ‘Rave Dave’. Thundering drums, rising chords, creepy FX and a momentum that locks you in like it’s 1991 all over again, an industrial strength EP deserves an industrial strength finale. Everyone knows a rave Dave – the type of soldier who could dance all weekend and still be fresh for a Monday – well these are the sounds that loop in his mind. Now they’ll loop in yours.
