Make your way through Philipp Gorbachev's SoundCloud page and what you'll get is a load of searing techno cuts, the kind that mess with your head and knock you off balance. 

The Russian artist's numerously released on Cómeme, including 2013's trip-inducing 'Hero Of Tomorrow' EP, which had vocals from Mathias Aguayo, and last year's debut LP, 'Silver Album'. 

Taking a break from Cómeme, he's behind the first release on his label PG Tune, and 'Power Of The Funk' ensures things kick off with a major impact.

The Meant label really is on a fine run in 2015, and now offers up its 3rd release of the year. This one is a brilliant, club ready package from Rework and features excellent original material alongside carefully A&Red remixes from BALD and ClickBox.
Rework is a German collaborative project between Daniel Varga, Michael Kuebler and Sascha Hedgehog. As well as having ties to this label, they have released on Items & Things, Visionquest and Playhouse, and high profile fans include Seth Troxler. The creative trio has been doing this more than 15 years now, and as such is as good at making essential 12”s as it is full length albums.
Opener ‘Too Forward’ is a freaky bit of slow motion electronic house. Vast kicks form the marching beat as trippy vocals repeat the title’s refrain until it loses all form. Around it, sparking electronics and phased synth lines make for a fine cacophony that will undoubtedly freak out ‘floors.
The devilishly dark and alluring ‘Overdosed’ is a more up tempo track with shadowy post punk energy. No wave synths gurgle and tinny chords light up the centre as a disaffected vocal mutters about overdosing over the top. It’s another perfectly freaky track. Last offering ‘Candy And Korg’ is a wiggling, synthetic house track cut from the Gemini mould. It’s bubbly, rich and subtly groovy and is the sort of thing you’d hear in a Craig Richards set.
Magda favourites ClickBox then remix this one into a sparse but elastic affair with dry hi hats the main hook of a perfectly reduced minimal track. Finally, buy the EP digitally and you will also get a brilliant BALD remix of ‘Too Forward’ that is all tough synths, alien arps and reverb rich vocal ad libs.
Once again here Meant and Rework have cooked up a perfect dance floor storm.

DEKA (Rus. 'ДЭКА') is a new Moscow supergroup by Philipp Gorbachev (ARMA17, Cómeme) and Andrew Lee (Obgon, Interchain). Ahead of the debute LP premiere in fall 2018, the duo is joined by Ushi333 to re-design the band’s first single ‘Rush’ (released previously as part of Centrifuge One: New Dance Sound of Moscow - first PG TUNE label compilation).

ИДА, is a new label which will no doubt illuminate the Moscow scene to the folks that don't seem to think that dance music happens outside Berlin anymore.  ИДА grew from a set of parties which spanned some of the best venues in Moscow, such as Denis Simachev Bar, Science and Art, Propaganda & Powerhouse amongst others.
For this release Owlson & Yssue come together for a set of tracks which outprog Sasha & Digweed.  There is a gorgeous spacey feel to these tracks which is reassuring as the title of this track is 'Space Rite' a high tempo pad ridden hi octane builder which has more twists and turns than a Christopher Nolan film, before he went a bit too high budget and political (y'all know what im saying!)
The track is riddled with cheeky changes, heavy synths, clangs and some proper spacey shenanigans.  It is literally only 6 minutes long but so much gets fitted into such a short space of time that you honestly wonder how the track isn't three hours long.  Slap bang in the middle of the Ibiza season, this is exactly the sort of thing you should expect to hear Maceo Plex playing, if you don't ask him why he isn't playing it. Because he should be.  All the DJs should be.
