Jonny Empire is an emcee from Stamford, CT, who's style and voice will leave a lasting impression. At the early age of 12, Jonny saw his older brother rap and make his own beats, and instantly gravitated towards the art. Four years later, his brother gifted him with his own recording set-up. And the rest was history.
 
From there on, Jonny learned how to write, record, and even mix his own to his liking. Going by the name of "Sneakyness" at the time, he released three projects under the moniker. However in 2013, Jonny decided to change his artist name, deciding on "Jonny Empire." Being Jonathan is his first name, and choosing "Empire" to radiate dominance and control.
 
With Jonny Empire's sound best described as modern "boom bap," it's clear his influences are those of the same ilk. His main influence stems from artists like Nas, Big L, Mobb Deep, and G-Unit to name a few. Classic albums like "The Infamous," "The Big Picture" and "Get Rich Or Die Tryin”, were vital to Jonny's artistry as a whole; down from his delivery, to him performing in front of a crowd.
 
Not only does Jonny pride himself in the lyricist aspect of the genre, but also in story-telling. And his music in-fact, projects all of those abilities. 
 
The CT heavy-hitter is focused on unleashing an onslaught of projects in this new decade. So keep your eyes peeled for all that he has in store, and follow Jonny on his journey to the top, as he builds an "Empire" for himself within-in Hip-Hop.
