Biography: Mitch Hennessy, Hennyrock, Benjamin Grimm, 48Karatz, 1ne Take or Ratz(depending on who you ask) started writing rhymes at age 7 and singing at age 9. Born and bred in The Bronx, he instantly fell in love with the culture of Hip Hop after hearing Kurtis Blow's "AJ". By age 15, he was recording songs with a crew of local rappers, "4xs the Flava". Working at his craft day in and day out, he continued to record songs and perform at different talent shows when he got the chance. In 1999, he was featured on the independent release, "The Arrival" by Alleykat; the only other artist from 4x's the Flava he continued to work with. In 2000, he joined The FlameThrowarz. Along with D.A.L.L.U.S(now Casino-Dialz), Hot Dy$e, Dolo, Montana(now Montega) and VA Slim he performed at F.I.T, The Savoy and Sofia's in NYC as well as Alley Katz at Shockoe Bottom in Virginia. It was thru The FlameThroWarz that Henny came to meet Scottie Styles a.k.a Baby Fro a.k.a Organix(you gotta love that Wu-Tang shit). They lost contact for 4 years before linking back together in 2004. Since then, they've been on the mission of bringin' "life" back to music. Their first project would be the highly anticipated EP, Isolation(The 1ne Man Army EP).

Seven months and 1,511 downloads later, Mitch and Organix sought to repeat the success. "On the humble, those 1500+ downloads might as well have been 15,000 to me & Scottie." That soughting of a successful repeat led to what would become, Pre-Emptive Strike. "Scottie chose the beats so sonically, it's all him. He sent me the tracks and format, I wrote the lyrics and divised the concepts." Where Isolation was a conceptual calm before the storm, Pre-Emptive Strike is a brash and loud outrage against the machine. "When I was creatin' Isolation, I was just comin' out of the Throwarz situation...and after years of being stifled by the "fraction of a crew syndrome", it was me finally gettin' a chance to express MYSELF! With Pre-Emptive Strike, I was pissed off wit' the current state of music." The result was a nine-track EP that focused on spirituality, lost potential, and respect for Hip Hop culture. If 1,547 downloads in three months are a sign, Hip Hop should be in good shape. "To get 1500+ in a shorter time than Isolation did was exactly what you want your follow up to do." With 3000+ downloads on two projects having no outside promotion besides the internet is a feat within itself. "It jus' proves that good music is truly appreciated. But we're goin' bigger wit' the next joint...no shiny suits or skinny jeans. Jus' a bigger push..a couple of videos..better promotion, the whole nine." The next project is the soon-to-be-released aptly titled LP, Off The Grid. If the first two projects are an indication of what to expect, his audience should be more than satisfied.
