Simphiwe Mabuya, better known by my his stage name Sim-TRB ( Tha Real Bhayinari). This lyrical creative was born and bred in a small location called Kwazakhele in Port Elizabeth, EC. He regards himself as a performing artist and a community worker who believes in empowering communities through Word power. Sim chose to employ Rhythm & Poetry as a tool to express his gift/ love for poetry. His writings will often, if not always, evoke mind blowing emotions, touch on thought provoking concepts with smooth, addictive and smart flow patterns over jazzy/boom-bap beats. His inspiration is mostly drawn from the type of community work that Sim has been involved in including own life experiences. 
He was formally trained as a performing artist in UCT Drama School where he studied Speech & Drama. It was during his schooling years in UCT when he discovered his passion for writing esp. Poetry and he was already passionate about Hip-Hop by then. From there he honed his writing skills developing a distinct method, flow and cadence as years went by. Sim built his credibility/name as a RAP artist more so in the streets of Cape Town as compared to his hometown PE. He is easily noticed for his unique art of story-telling, empowering concepts, word play and creative combination of language: Xhosa & English and strong use of Poetry in his music. 
Simphiwe’s first offering was “Social Poetics” (with producer Bonga Tyesi) which came out late 2008. The project was entirely produced off a zero budget and yet it managed to make enough noise to earn Sim a spot as a Lyricist/Poet. Right during this time, Sims’ attention was completely stolen by philanthropic work for more than 5 years or so. Whilst working for few Places of Safety, he also got a chance to collaborate with and hosted a number prominent local and international acts. He was also able to squeeze in a mix-tape called “Second Thought” with his longtime friend Solitude. 


After a long semi-break, Sim returned to the lab and has been working on his official offering titled “Perceptionz”. The project is in its final stages boasting production contribution from the likes of Adon Geel, Planet Earth, Xolani Duai Sikosana, Bonga Tyesi just to name a few. 
To create awareness plus to grant the masses a glimpse of what’s to come… Sim decided to randomly drop a number free teaser tracks over different soulful beats from Soul Am - Jazz Affair and Blunt One & Mojo - Real Street Jazz etc including some of his unreleased material with Duai. The teasers are comprised of a single verse each, taken from the original songs off the album coming. To get a taste of theses teaser joints follow Sim on FB & such. So far, the response has been quite amazing from followers through Whatsapp, Facebook ,Instagram & gaining momentum on Twitter.The strategy with the teaser is to allure the masses, recruit fresh ones, get them to learn the songs, create a demand for the long awaited project.
February 02/ 2018 Sim released his single titled “Infatuation” ft Jane P. produced by Adon Geel.
