Mrs. Greenbird’s new single “let me borrow your shoes” (Release Feb. 11 2022) stands for inter human connection far beyond the borders of the obvious. Sympathy instead of prejudice, open arms instead of walls. Try to see the world through the other one’s eyes by walking in their footsteps for a while. 

The songs appears as a modern pop production with a driving groove and catchy melodies. It sounds rather electronic but is performed with natural acoustic instruments and stands in the musical tradition of the great folk, country and americana productions that have always been a great influence to the sound of Mrs. Greenbird.
Dynamic acoustic guitars over a tight beat are framed by the atmospheric sounds of electric guitar, lap steel, piano and mellotron. The dual lead vocals forgo complex harmonies to signalize unity and togetherness. 

„Let me borrow your shoes” is a song to dream and walk hand in hand, hoping that human connection is always stronger than external circumstances and prejudice. 

The single was recorded and produced by the band themselves in their own recording studio. The mix was done my Grammy winning recording engineer Craig Alvin from Muscle Shoals (AL). 

„Let me borrow your shoes” is the official lead single for the upcoming full length album “love you to the bone”, which will be released on April 8 2022 and was produced with the help of the band’s fans through crowd funding. 

Mrs. Greenbird is a folk-pop duo from Nippessippi (Cologne) / Germany since 2010 that writes, records, produces and releases music independently. The band has won numerous awards and the self-titled debut album was no. 1 in the German pop charts twice.
