Oddly (in terms of the music tracks rather than the lyrics) I think the penultimate one is by far the worse – but the very last one, used between 2010-12, is quite possibly the best.

In September 2017, BBC Radio 1 and BBC Radio 2 celebrated 50 years since they launched. Central to the celebrations was BBC Radio 1 Vintage, a 3-day station celebrating the presenters and programmes of the last 50 years.

To image and promote the station we blended the music and imaging of the last 5 decades with long-time Radio 1 voice over, John Wells. JAM Creative Productions made many of the original sung jingles for BBC Radio 1, and so we asked them to help us create the sound of Radio 1 Vintage.

This is just some of the audio we produced to brand and promote BBC Radio 1 Vintage.
