Habits is one of those unique blend of feelings, its gangster, sexy, relatable, and fun... In fact we aren't quite sure why its not on the same level as Lorde's Royals... So with that in mind, we set out to create a song that complimented the vocals and the subject of the song but brought it into the club arena. Quickie From US- "We first discovered Josef Salvats music with his single Hustler about 18 months back.... The song was so authentic and emotional and his voice was alike nothing we had heard. We did some research and found out he was quickly signed and we were sure it was only a matter of time before this guy was doing Sam Smith things. We had always wanted to remix his work but to be quite honest we thought we would write and he would just say no hahah... SO when we heard open Season we fell in love all over again. His unmistakable voice and haunting yet oddly uplifting lyrics... We decided to grow some balls and reach out, well not us we used our manager as cover... Sorta like sending your ugly friend over to find out of a girls single...! To our surprise Josef was totally down and we got the stems As you may have noticed lately we have been on a downtempo kick. Made its the food we've been eating, or weather but we have really enjoyed making this alternative tracks to our usual remix style. For us its important to go left sometimes as experimenting with new styles and sounds really opens up our creativity and thats certainly was the case with this. Anyway we ended up with this wonderful downtempo track that has a lot of organic sounds in it paired with the synths. We sent it over to Salvat and Co. and they loved it! Nothin feels as good as getting the thumbs up from an artist you really admire! ENJOY"

Josef Salvat - Open Season (The Chainsmokers Remix) (Free DL)

We remember the day our manager came into our studio aka drew's living room apartment to show us this new band he was going to sign to Disruptor Records. The first record he played us was this tune Overload and we were hooked! We had never heard of them before but we proceeded to listen to 10 more songs of theirs and we were blown away. Their sound was so refreshing from the instruments to their vocals. There was a summertime quality to all their music that couldn't be denied. Flash forward a couple months and we had the chance to meet them in LA. We proceeded to do what any dudes meeting for the first time would do, we through a mansion party at a buddies got totally blackout and missed the call time for what was our Let You Go music video. Flash even more forward and Overload is taking over top40 and they are about to drop their next single Dreams! The boys were cool enough to let us take a shot a remixing overload and putting our touch on it. The song itself is already just so amazing and vibey... its like drinking coconut water on a beach while getting a foot rub and someone somewhere else transferring large sums of money into your bank acct. SO we figured why change that and just change the foot rub to a back massage and money to a kiss from a chick you really are into but didn't know she was also into you.... So without further adieu... our remix of Overload!

Quickie from us: "So its really great when coincidences and fate find each other, because that is what happened… We absolutely were in love with this summer anthem by smallpools, it reeked of fresh cut grass and the afternoon sun... So when their ppl reached out to us about doing a remix it was the easiest decision ever. We can't say it wasn't a challenge though with such a strong vocal, but we really wanted to pin it up against the classic 'house music pluck' we have been hearing so much of, but use it in a vain that felt a bit different but still large, but finding that union was tough in the sense the two had to warm up to each other rather than clash... but in the end we think we found this great atmosphere for the song to exist."
