CircoLoco Records’ string of top quality tracks continues with Map.ache’s ‘IZA,’ the first single from a forthcoming EP from the Giegling collective, the eclectic group of German producers and DJ’s responsible for a string of underground classics including Map.ache’s ‘Where Do We Go From Here’ and Molly’s ‘All Good.’  ‘IZA’ is signature Map.ache: melancholy and hypnotic deep house with warm bass, layered descending synth melodies and snippets of plaintive vocal. 

‘IZA’ follows the recent release of “On My Own Now,” the two-track single from DJ Tennis & Ashee featuring Lady Donli, and Skream’s smash, The Attention Deficit EP.

Tiefschwarz’s Souvenir label kicks off the 2019 year in brilliant form with an EP from Germany’s Metaboman (Musik Krause), featuring 4 mind-melting slices of underground dancefloor weaponry perfectly stripped back to the most essential elements. The EP, ‘Einseins’ is Metaboman’s debut offering for the Berlin imprint, and easily one of his most ambitious and expertly crafted releases to date. The release includes a Robag Wruhme remix which makes it the first time in over 15 years the two are back on a release together.

Renowned international craftsman Maher Daniel returns to No. 19 Music with a fantastic new EP that also comes with standout remixes from Art Department, plus label regular JADE (CA). Daniel has been building his own vinyl only label, The Other Side with a series of slick releases that come after other outings on the likes of Circus, 8Bit and of course No.19 Music. He has taken his label to showcases everywhere from the Caribbean to Beirut and always cooks up infectious club sounds in the studio. Alongside this he has a vinyl only edits series called Creature that has consistently sold out upon release. Aside from his production and DJ work he is a central figure in the industry and has a long standing history with the No.19 crew. Here he opens with the excellent ‘A Heart That Beats You’ which is utterly captivating across ten minutes of sleek minimal house. It’s a deep track with rubbery drums and spooky synth designs that hook you in and never let you go. Steamy vocals layer in another element that makes it all the more standout. ‘Hidden Messages’ is another expertly intricate track with slippery synths and drums, minute little effects and drum fills and a restless groove of which Villalobos would be proud. The first of the remixes comes from label boss Art Department, who is enjoying a superb run of releases of late, including standout records for Cassy’s Kwench and The Martinez Brother’s Cuttin’ Headz label. His version of ‘A Heart That Beats You' is a superb late night house cut with warm, colourful chords and a soulful vocal that build the tension until the whole thing drops and sets the club alight. Canadian DJ/producer JADE (CA), a long-time friend of the label, then steps up. Deep, dark bass lines accompanied by solid hi hat patterns sink you into a state of hypnosis and make for another one of this fine talent’s trademark tracks.

Push Communications return with the 7th edition of their scene-defining compilation series. My Tech House Vol. 7 is packed full of pure heat, and even includes six exclusive tracks that serve as the perfect reminder of how strong and varied Tech House is in 2013. Many familiar faces return this time out – the ever-dependable sounds of Martin Landsky, Daniel Dexter, and Alex Niggemann all drop serious business here. Steve Bug also offers up a remix of his ‚No Adjustments‘ featuring the Foremost Poets - one of the highlights from last year’s Noir album. 
As with the previous compilations from Push, there’s plenty of room for hot new talent breaking through into the scene. Here we are blessed with dope tracks from the Maximiljan, Andrade, Rubinskee and the young Brit, Josh Winiberg, whose exclusive Acid Angel is a journey into refined House dynamics. 
There are also standout tracks from some veterans – check for example Abe Duque’s ‚What Happened‘ and the outstanding collaboration between X-Press 2, Werner Niedermeier and Gareth Whitehead. What’s more, infamous Berliner Sven Dohse offers up the hypnotic ‚Am Wald‘ while Iron Curtis cements his credentials with an amazing rework from the evergreen Move D. 
And if that wasn’t enough, more exclusive tracks from 9West, Mihai Popoviciu, Jamie Anderson and Owain K, Alessio Mereu, and Sven Tasnadi & Dan Drastic make the point – Tech House is booming under this current crop of exceptional producers.

Born in Sweden in 1990, Rudolf Nordström—better known as Mr. Tophat—has long been a defining force in Stockholm’s electronic music underground. A producer, DJ, and sonic architect, his deep passion for dance music has driven him to create hypnotic, genre-blurring productions that transcend traditional club sounds.

With a history of curating unique musical experiences, Mr. Tophat co-founded the revered Karlovak label with Art Alfie in 2011, a platform for house music built for nights that defy endings. He also helms Junk Yard Connections, established in 2008, a label known for its strictly limited, no repress approach—making each release a sought-after collector’s item.

His solo work has garnered critical acclaim, with both of his solo albums receiving Grammy nominations, a testament to his ability to push the boundaries of electronic music while maintaining a deeply personal and innovative sound. Following the release of "This Is Pop" (PIAS x Twilight Enterprise), he continues to explore new sonic territories, with upcoming music on Karlovak and a highly anticipated new album with Axel Boman, blending dancefloor euphoria with avant-garde textures.

His collaborations span both the mainstream and the underground, having worked with Robyn, Kleerup, XOV, Lune, and Jelly Crystal, among others. He has been spotlighted by major global media outlets, including MTV, New York Times, Entertainment Weekly, Billboard, and Pitchfork, further cementing his status as a forward-thinking artist with a broad cultural impact.

On stage, Mr. Tophat continues to appear at some of the world’s most intriguing venues and festivals—sometimes in grandiose settings, other times in shadowy, elusive late-night sanctuaries. Whether behind the decks or orchestrating immersive live performances, he remains an unpredictable and compelling force in electronic music.
