Dre'on Andre' Downs best known as Juvi Montana was born on March 7, 1990 to his mother Evelena Yvette Downs and father Thurmon Downs at Grady memorial hospital in Fulton county Altanta Georgia. Juvi Montana spent most of his childhood years growing up in South Carolina with his mom, little brother, and grand parents in a little town known as Cross not too far off of the southern coast outside of Charleston, due to a very bad physical dispute between his parents that lead to them splitting up. There he spent his days outside shooting guns exploring the woods, riding atvs, dirt bikes, playing football and basketball with his cousins and the local neighborhood kids. He has always been very laid back and calm but yet has a very assertive and aggressive nature which got into a lot of altercations with the kids of the neighborhood. At age15 Juvis' mother Evelena decided that she was tired of the country living, and she and her two boys (Juvi Montana) and his younger brother moved on the out skirts of Atlanta in a rough neighborhood known then as "Wyncove" in East Point Georgia right off of i-285 where they moved in with their grand mother on their dad's side of the family. There he attended Westlake High school, he became very self sufficient but not knowing anyone and being that it was a very different and fast paced environment he became caught up in selling drugs at school, fighting, and gangs. Dying to become a part of a "clique" Juvi Montana un- knowingly became well acquainted with the infamous "Gangster Disciples" which later lead to him getting stabbed and also shot, and shot at on numerous occasions. Juvi found that he needed and outlet for his energy and focused more on football and excelled at it. He later had the eyes of multiple college scouts. Wake Forest, UGA, Georgia Tech, Old Miss just to name a few. He committed to attending Wake Forest later that month received a chilling phone call from his mother that really had him shook. He received word that his grandmother had fallen terminally ill and possibly only has three days to live. So on that Tuesday he, his mother and little brother packed up and headed back for South Carolina. Later that Wednesday his mom returned with the news that his grandmother didnt make it through the morning and has passed. He was devastated. That was when his life took a turn. He then realized that he had to channel his energy back to something that his grandmother would be proud to see her grandson doing. His grandmother (Queen Hester Bowman) was a lead singer of the gospel group of sisters she created and figured he'd turned to the music. He and his brother Bootz always had a knack for singing and rapping but never put any real effort into it. His grandmother's passing and growing up not having much of anything changed all of that for him and now made him strive to put everything into his music and molded him into the Juvi Montana of the entertainment industry we know today
