It is an absolute pleasure to welcome Andreas to the Journey Series, as we celebrate 200 episodes! I want to thank everyone for their continuous support, and special thanks to all the artists that contributed to this series. This milestone wouldn't have been possible without you!

Here are a few words from Andreas:

Hello everyone. I was honored when Adrian asked me to record the 200th episode for the Magician on Duty Journey Series. 

For this special occasion, I want to take you on a journey back in time to my teenage self falling in love with electronic music for the first time. I grew up with most of these songs and associate many special moments with them that I shared with special people. 

I think back to this time very fondly and would like to thank everyone who accompanied me on my personal journey.

But now it's time to buckle up and enjoy the trip. 

I hope you enjoy this episode as much as I did!

We welcome Fnatik who is part of the Synapsis Collective, in Flensburg. He has been part of the local electronic music scene for many years. His style and mixing of his genres is always harmonic, clean and has an exclusive touch. As a member of the “Symphonie“ crew he is also involved in planning various in- and outdoor techno events in Germany. Furthermore, he is one of the founding members of the aspiring Flensburg and Hamburg based DJ and producer collective called; “Synapsis“. Besides from his gigs as a resident DJ at Electronic Movement at Kulturwerkstatt Kühlhaus he’s been able to perform at Danish Panorama Music Festival, Hafenkante Open Air, Rathausbunker and Schaubude in Kiel, Superkunstfestival and Klangtankstelle open air in Lübeck plus many more.

3 QUESTIONS to EDONE:

Q: Let's get into your mix. Why did you choose these tracks and what do they still mean to you?

A: I began to listen to Electronic Music when I was 12 years old or so, mid 1990's more or less. Probably my first contact was with a cassette that a friend recorded with the Experience album by The Prodigy, since then I was always linked to Electronic Music, from IDM to Breaks, Techno, House or others. In my mix you can find tracks that at some point of my life were special for me for any or other reason.

Q: Since clubs and festivals got closed we're all forced to stay home. What did you do since the lockdown came?

A: I spent a great time in the studio, I think I improved my mixdown and mastering skills, indeed I'm doing for others, and I had time to begin my new record label project.

Q: On which projects are you currently working and what can we expect from you this year?

A: As I mentioned in the last question, probably my most ambitious project at the moment is my new label called Surrrealism. This project itself is based and inspired on the art of surrealism. It's main goal is that of tracing a line which joins the visual and sound world, showing an special dedication to the aspects which exactly fit on the image of the brand. Thus, apart from the musical side where many renowned and acclaimed musicians are going to participate, a magnificent designers and artists team will be involved in the different fields of the art. Each of the covers in every launch date will be a  hand made oil on canvas made by one of their artists, always inspired by the branch of surrealism. Surrealism will mix the sound with visual art and they will go from the best musicians performances to proper expositions of art and paints of their authors. Everything here under the same proposal: The ART OF SURREALISM.
