Es gab eine Zeit, in der in der Schweiz an Partys kaum ein Offbeat gespielt wurde, ohne dass ich irgendwo „Scheeeeiiiiiss Offbeat“ von jemandem, oder gleich mehreren Leuten gehört habe. Wahrscheinlich hatten diejenigen einmal eine Überdosis erwischt, welche man wiederum heutzutage schon fast von den klassischen dreier Psy-Basslines, die wie eine Maschinenpistole den Takt durchrattern kriegt.

Dabei gibt’s doch nichts interessanteres, als gesunde Abwechslung im Beat. Man kann so kreativ mit der Bassline und dem Kick gestalten, was im modernen Psytrance oftmals fehlt.
Ja, nichts desto trotz MUSSTE ich diesen Track irgendeinmal produzieren, und hoffe dadurch, mich nun davon befreien zu können, jedesmal „Sch***Offbeat“ zu denken wenn ich einen solchen an Partys höre.

Fazit: es gibt keine schlechten Beats, nur auf Dauer uninteressante. Ich liebe Offbeat-Parts und alles was dazwischen noch so machbar ist.

F***Offbeat

There was a time when hardly any offbeat was played at parties in Switzerland without me hearing "Fuuuuuckin’ Offbeat" from someone or several people somewhere. Probably those had once caught an overdose, which in turn you can almost hear from the classic three psy basslines, which rattle through the beat like a machine gun.

But there's nothing more interesting than healthy variety in the beat. You can create creatively with the bassline and the kick, which is often missing in modern psytrance.
Yes, nevertheless I HAD to produce this track at some point, and hope to be able to free myself from thinking "F***offbeat" every time I hear one at parties.

Conclusion: there are no bad beats, just uninteresting ones in the long run. I love offbeat parts and everything in between.
