Originally released by French tastemaker label Kitsune in 2008, YOU LOVE HER's debut EP Inner City Angst captured the raw, urgent energy of a new wave of UK electronic artists tearing up the rulebook. This reissue brings the cult-favourite EP to CD format for the first time, complete with restored artwork and liner notes. Fronted by breakout single "Superheroes", which NME hailed as a "Recommended Download", the EP fuses distorted electro-punk, glitchy beats, and synth-driven chaos with a dark pop sensibility. The EP became a sonic staple for a generation seeking something more visceral. Inner City Angst cemented its underground legacy when "Superheroes" was featured in Episode 7, Series 3 of the cult E4 drama Skins, soundtracking one of the show's most pivotal and emotionally charged scenes. The late, great Visage frontman Steve Strange featured on Punx Soundcheck's electroclash classic "In The Dark". Now, a selection of brand new remixes are poised to bring "In The Dark" back to a whole new set of dancefloors. Bona fide electronic music royalty, Alexander Robotnick opens proceedings, Berlin resident (and one half of Polygamy Boys) Sneak Thief takes the baton with a bleepy workout. Codec's "Stream Of Consciousness" version ups the tempo, and Icon Series regular Ascii.Disko turns in a fierce re-imaginging of Electroclash. Closing the package is a sublime Italodisco inspired rerub from RSF.

A confession at full volume—this indie punk-pop anthem blends glitchwave aesthetics with electroclash energy and a bleeding-heart delivery that’s part drunk dial, part diary page.

Male vocals lean into talk-singing, spilling sarcasm, sweat, and soul over a relentless chord loop dressed in 7ths, 9ths, and crushed inversions. Think fuzzed guitars, lo-fi drum machines, distorted bass synths, and shout-back harmonies wrapped in tape-saturated textures.

Built on a 100 BPM dance-punk pulse, it stutters and crashes with glitchy fills, sudden drops, and vocoded fragments. A story of bittersweet chaos, vulnerability on the dancefloor, and that one moment where you said too much—but maybe that was the point.

YOU LOVE HER is an electronic music producer from London, UK. YOU LOVE HER debuted in 2008 on Kitsuné Maison 6 with PNAU, LA ROUX, THE CHEMICAL BROTHERS & HOT CHIP. Due to connections with the underground rave scene at the time, YOU LOVE HER was requested to perform 'Superheroes' in (S3E7) of the popular Bristol-based TV series, SKINS. YOU LOVE HER then various club shows and festivals alongside such acts as KAVINSKY, MR OIZO, BREAKBOT, CRYSTAL CASTLES, A-TRAK & STEVE AOKI, most notably headlining Switzerland's CLANX Festival in the Alps. Some years on, YOU LOVE HER is continuing to release music. The latest offering from YOU LOVE HER is a FREE remix download of his song "2007" remixed by Øneheart & DXXDLY, the former being one of the most known TikTok and Reels musical artists currently.

With this year’s re-release of their classic debut album “When Machines Ruled The World”, it would seem that Punx Soundcheck have come full circle into this new decade – a revisit of their past demonstrates how far Punx Soundtrack have travelled on their constant journey into the future, always pushing forward. Punx Soundcheck are a longstanding pillar of London’s Underground dance scene; as DJs and producers they have consistently been at the bleeding edge of electronic music, straddling genres, and constantly evolving their sound, utilising both a dazzling array of original vintage synths and cutting edge studio hardware.
Both legendary dance music producers in their own right, the duo of John Taylor and Roland Faber make a formidable team, weaving together their collected influences into their distinctive sound. Recently having put their own slant on dance classics “House Arrest” (with artwork for the single hand drawn by Boy George) and “Rock To The Beat”, and original numbers such as “Two Timed” show that Punx Soundcheck aren’t going to be slowing down anytime soon.

From their debut album, “When Machines Ruled the World”, (which saw them collaborate with the likes of Boy George and Marc Almond), to 2017’s long player number 5, “No Rules Anymore”, via a multitude of singles, EPs, and reworks for everyone from Bloc Party to Digitaria to Duran Duran to S’Express (and many many more), Punx Soundcheck have consistently garnered rave reviews in respected publications such as Mixmag and DJ Magazine; their releases on have been played out by the worlds biggest DJs and radio shows, and their bang-on-the-money remixes have cemented their position as the go-to guys for a sure fire rerub.
