Giri - Ilizia EP

“Attimi” is the third release of the new Evod Music series. Oisel’s first track “Distante” contains the melodic side of the artist. Various rarefied chord melodies intersect with confused whispers, spaced out rides and long reverbs. “Eighteeth Round” by Nemarc is a gloomy trip thanks to its suspended ambient sounds supported by powerful drums and metallic raids. Third track, called “Implant Memory” is by Giri. The track is dancefloor oriented: a solid groove and scifi sequences were bound by the artist, creating a perfect tool to warm up dancefloors.“Kafka Loop” is a sinusoids orchestra. The minimal drums groove is surmounted by sines’ confused dialogues that create an “eternal loop” feeling.

Following on from their debut joint effort as Modern Doom, @tesstberlin and MSDMNR are back at it this summer with ‘Final Conspiracy’, a new six-track split that finds the pair delving further deep inside hypnosis-inducing sonic phrases and 909-infused rhythmic mantras. If you’re not familiar with TESST’s equally dynamic and texturally lavish musical multiverse, ‘Final Conspiracy’ makes for an ideal introduction. 

Calling the shots on the A side, TESST dishes out a trio of natural-born consciousness-shifters, primed for extended use in both fluid build-up climes and head-on peak time climaxes, square-shouldered enough to bring dancers to a trancey simmer bar after bar. ‘Exit Where’ gets the ball rolling on a weightless, levitational note, laying maximal emphasis on subtle groove modulations and minimal, though impactful melodic tweaks. An acid-soaked earworm that shall scramble the crowds’ navigational systems without further ado, ’Never-ending Hole’ moves fast and haunts long after the needle’s hit back stationary mode. Rounding off that side of the record, hi-pressure roller 'Final Test’ ushers us into a blazing furnace of bleeping hysteria and hi-NRG pound that’ll leave your cheeks red and bones bruised. 

Flip it over and here's MSDMNR ramming his way in badman style with the all-obliterating ‘Warped Arp’. Pulling out all the stops, it’s an evil hail of rattling echo'd drums and train-like chug that preps to pour over and take the dancefloor by storm. A further straightforward piece of athletic dub tech, ‘Disturbance’ is the epitome of a passive-aggressive powerhouse igniter, fully geared towards blowing the winds of rebellion and notching up the heat no matter the hour of the day. Draped in dark droney folds and stealth envelopes, EP closer ‘Conspiracy’ makes for the very strain of dubbed-out deadly rodeo that works its poisonous hex slow but steady. Even stronger together, TESST and MSDMNR capture a snapshot of their craft at its most boldly burning and earnestly charismatic throughout.

Industrial music was above all a statement of intent. A tool to express social discouragement and the call for rebellion against the concept of pre-established social norms. A claim to freedom. 
While products like the Sex Pistols took over the mainstream, bands like Throbbing Gristle set the standard for authentic punk vibe, which became known as Industrial in the most underground environments. 

Nowadays, industrial music does not exist. There are just few who have been able to be influenced by this music genre and mix it with styles such as EBM or Techno to create a modern and industrial sound. This is the case of Irazu, who we previously released a track on a VA for our sub-label Close Encounters; and who we now have the pleasure of releasing this 'Love Crucified EP'.  
This work overflows industrial feeling and at the same time it has its own character sounding actual, dense and hypnotic. The EP contains 3 original tracks and a remix by Yelling Meltdown; the new project by the producers Kastil & 30drop which work clearly reminds the sound of bands like Skinny Puppy or Front Line Assembly.
