Why does it seem normal to everyone to be proud of reaching the top of a mountain, to have shat on eighteen hundred metres of difference in altitude and to raise our arms to the sky in pride?
It's bad enough that we're overcoming difficulties we didn't always create for ourselves, but what sense does it make to take a shit over eighteen hundred metres of ascent? Just to raise your arms in pride? Can you imagine throwing your arms up in the air with pride after having accumulated light years of joy? After having tasted each step taken in the grass of the valleys or on the rocks of these mountains so beautiful that you don't even have time to see if you want to finish with these eighteen hundred metres of difference in altitude. Accumulating lightness, arriving at the top of a heap of joy and then raising your arms to the sky in pride. I don't agree with the way we deserve it, there must be another way to get to the top of the mountains and raise our arms in pride.

El texto me llegó después de haber acabado penúltima en la regata de remo de San Pere. ¿Lo importante es participar? Disfrutad de la regata?!!! A mi me parece imposible disfrutar de la regata en si... que es un verdadero sufrimiento... Sé porque hago remo... pero ¿las regatas? solo disfruto de la medalla de oro y las probabilidades son bien pocas, jjj, Y si participar, en realidad, fuera solo un acto altruista, para que otros puedan gozar de la medalla? Pero un disfrute... de verdad... no lo veo... ¿No nos estamos equivocando sobre nuestros propios motivos? Ah, y las marcas de agua sobre la portada indican que se trata de material protegido de terceros (no hice yo la foto, ni la pagué ofreciendo mis datos) e ilustran también, de manera subliminal, algunos aspectos subyacentes de la canción.

Empecé con elegir algunos de los ritmos de bajo que copié de la Enciclopedia dei ritmi per batería E Basso de Cristiano Micalizzi. Llevaba varios días transcribiendo los ritmos de bajo en MIDI y haciéndome una biblioteca de loops que pueda usar y transponer fácilmente. Después me cogí un loop de EZ Drummer y lo doblé con loops del Komplete Kontrol (uno con un suspiro que me gustaba mucho para subir montañas). Quise poner trompetas, pero no sonaban como me gustaba y les puse un Ampire que les transformó en otra cosa, entre el acordeón y la gaita… Los demás invitados son los de siempre… con mi amiga la flauta Ample China Dadi y un invitado especial Analog Dreams.

Enomoto Seifu was a female poet born into a samurai family in 1732. She focused on her writing mostly after her husband’s death in the mid-1750s, and later in life, she became a Buddhist nun. Her works were collected and published after her death by her son.
