Drummer, producer and multi-instrumentalist Mesut Gürsoy is the brains and pulse behind MST.

The Debut EP "Exeunt, Vol. 1" rides a hard edge between the acoustic world and the digital world of sound: Energetic, cutting edge drum beats, played on the acoustic drumset, are merging with synthesizers, vibraphone and strings to a cinematic soundscape that can be claustrophobic at times.

Growing up in a still divided Germany with a Turkish father and German mother, Mesut draws influence from his experiences of a youth filled with an ever-changing sense of identity and belonging - high tension and isolation are common themes in his work.

Having toured internationally with numerous acts all around the world, Mesut Gürsoy founded MST in 2017, using a minimalistic set up of drums, loop pedal and laptop.

Being a pure live act with overwhelming energy and ever evolving livesets at first, MST set out to do the first recordings in 2018, of what would become the first official release "Exeunt, Vol.1" (Sep 18, 2020), now opening up to other instruments and expanding the set-up.
