SUNSLINGER [SUN-SLING-ER] is a musical outfit woven together by two friends who met in Montreal.  It is borne of two musicians - a songwriter and a drummer.

SUNSLINGER smashes together the comfortable quirks of indie rock and the pulsating adrenaline of synthpop, weaving together a resonating poetic narrative and unabashed summertime euphoria, over surprisingly chilled-out atmospheres.

The Arsonists are a band that came together with the intention of creating the most burning music in the universe. It all began when four friends from Seattle, WA (bassist Mat Muntz, drummer Max Holmberg, pianist Julian Garvue, and tenor saxophonist Xavier Del Castillo) collided with alto saxophonist Patrick Bartley from Fort Lauderdale, FL. A deep connection between the newly founded quintet was immediately apparent.

As students in various jazz conservatory programs on the East Coast, The Arsonists became keenly aware of the sad state of soulless sardonicism plaguing music in the 21st century. The band set off on a musical crusade to reintroduce authentic spirit and ecstatic transcendence into their artistic community. This cause is aided by an eclectic mix of sounds and styles: from neo-Caribbean dancehall beats and pseudo-Eurasian melodic exotica to passionate post-jazz wailing and down-home funk-metal grooves. The unified sound emerging from these disparate influences is at once idiosyncratic and organic, and above all extremely powerful.

In addition to live performances in Seattle, Montreal, and Boston, The Arsonists spent the sumer of 2013 recording their debut album - The Red Planet - due for release in April 2014. The Arsonists look forward to burning down venues in Washington, Oregon, and California this summer. 

The Ensemble intercontemporain is a music ensemble of 31 soloists dedicated to the performance and promotion of music from the 20th and 21st centuries.
For almost 40 years, this permanent ensemble of highly professional musicians has been performing a demanding repertoire of orchestral music in all its diverse forms. Under the artistic direction of Matthias Pintscher  they are united by a shared passion for new music.
