Mt. Doyle - Coma Dose 12

It's been a hot minute since I put together a mixtape designed for chilling out - so I put together some tunes I've been chilling out to in hopes of creating a couple of hot minutes for ya'll to vibe to. 

The initial intention behind this one was Valentine's day, but as the day approached, and my lack of valentine at present looming in the back of my mind, I wondered why I was doing this and it slowly evolved into something I can only describe as a love letter written to myself.

I know it sounds a little corny, but there are so many ways to give love in this world and we tend to hyper focus and romanticize the love that is given to a single other person. But love for the world, love for life, love for yourself - are all just as important. So this one goes out to everyone in the world giving the love they have, no matter the type, and hopefully it encourages a feeling inside you that fosters love for yourself and everything - because those that love it all are often the best lovers.

It also goes pretty good with dinner, the beach, backyards, rides home, last thing at night, first thing in the morning, with friends, with more than friends, or just vibing alone with you and you. Y'know, that sorta thang. I hope you love it as much as I do <3.

DJing is one of those things in my life where I find myself comparing myself to others, and often feeling like I fall short. It’s easy to get lost in comparisons and caught up in opinions. Then bom bom (bom bom dillim)… a series of beautiful people remind me that my light shines bright, and they celebrate when it burns instead of trying to extinguish it. Thank you so much for everyone that has supported and believed in me, you have no idea what a difference you make. Shambhala Music Festival Pre Party Set - June 28 2025

I'm happy to share my Coma Dose Sunrise Set from Deep Roots Festival last month. Had an awesome time at my first Deep Roots, connected with some great artists and heard some of the best bass music a guy could ask for.

This is my second live Coma Dose festival sunrise set and it's been a real treat getting to take this project to the bass bins after so many years. I tried to keep it mostly fresh with a few classics from the previous mixes and just enough energy to keep everyone vibing into the morning 🌞 Hope y'all enjoy these beats on your next festival road trip! 🤘

With this being my official debut in the US of A, I spent a ridiculous amount of time working on this. I wanted to make sure that the vibe was exactly what I wanted it to be. This set was the biggest surprise of my summer. 10 days before Shambhala, I was offered a slot at the new Riverside Stage. I wasn't even planning on attending this year. I've been waiting for an offer like this a reeeal looong time. I've only played Shamb once before in 2018 at the Village for the Ragga Jungle Rinseout with my homie Orilla (RIP). It is a cherished memory. So finally getting a full set was a dream come true and I am overjoyed to share with you one of the bucketlist sets of my career! I played at 5pm on Thursday so I didn't wanna bang it out or go too heavy, just happy and energetic. Felt like i was starting the party. I was working on a housey summer mix at the time which i kinda scrapped and turned into this set, so it starts off very summertime pool party vibes but then goes into all my favorite tunes I've been rinsing this summer. Back in the day, Mt. Doyle was known for his smooth taste in Drum & Bass and his unmatched love for pizza. But it wasn't long before Doyle expanded his horizons to include Funk, House, Hip-Hop and Bass, all with his soulful West Coast flavour. He quickly became a staple in the BC electronic music scene, known not only for his multi-genre sets but his range of recorded mixes as well.

Over the past 10 years, Mt. Doyle has played lounges, clubs and festivals all over the North West, including Shambhala, Lightning In A Bottle, Rifflandia, Electric Love, Wicked Woods, Friendzy Fest, Fozzy Fest, Bamboo Bass, Astral Harvest, Ska Fest, Sun Fest and The Tall Tree Festival. In that time he’s shared the stage with international heavyweights Aphrodite, Camo & Krooked, Ed Solo, A.Skillz, Stickybuds, The Funk Hunters, Chali 2na, JFB, Dub FX, Rusko, Technimatic, LSB & DRS, Serial Killaz, Dub Pistols, Ray Keith, Netsky and Andy C.

In 2016 Mt. Doyle started The Hydration Mix Series, a monthly Liquid Drum & Bass podcast with DJs Akela, Willisist, Erski, Reflektor, Lasu and DJ Surgeon. Later that year Doyle took on a whole new style as he joined the ranks of Victoria based Hip-Hop band Illvis Freshly, where he made his singing debut. Now, when he's not solo, you can catch his live set with Doyle on vocals and Philly on the guitar.

Over the years Mt. Doyle has established himself as one of the most versatile DJs on Vancouver Island. With a mountainous lust for music and style that keeps you guessing, Mt. Doyle will keep bodies moving any time, any place, with whatever the hell he wants.
