Swirling and seductive left-field pop act, Vogue Dots is self assured in its songwriting. The band's single for CSCN is comprised of 'Way Out' and 'Thunder', two songs with abstract edges, yet containing a healthy respect for melody. 

The 'Way Out' single was recorded in a cottage on Belle Isle just off the Labrador Peninsula, and is imbued with the surreal, natural wonder of its environment. Vogue Dots are Babette Hayward and Tynan Dunfield from Halifax, Canada.

Alcantara is the name of a place in Sicily. When I think of Sicily some of the first thoughts coming up to my mind are of those great people who were murdered because rebelling against the Mafia. Peppino Impastato is one of these fighters. His voice is taken from the satirical counter-information speeches he was giving on RadioAUT. He's saying:

"A peaceful village / a lot of friends there / everyone was a friend / friends here, friends there / in such a peaceful village / where there were a lot of friends / a village / Mafiopoli"
