Dr. Clock and the Phantom Tones was a Pittsburgh rock band active from 2022 until 2023. The band attempted to blend sounds of psychedelic rock, with everything from lofi, to doom metal, jazz, blues, shoe gaze, folk, and pop rock. Over the course of their year active, they played out often focusing on live performances over recording. Although they did attempt to create a recorded album, it was never completed. 
 The band had two lineups throughout its life with members who are all still now involved in Pittsburgh music.
The original lineup was John Joyce on vocals, Ethan “Drums” Dornberger on drums, Nathan Pica on guitar,  Cary Young on bass, and Nate Mernyk on keys. The lineup went for about a half a year before Cary and Nate parted ways with the project.

Soon after, Mike “Squid” Gualtierri joined the project on bass and Max Irwin joined on keyboard. The second lineup went for almost seven months before eventually breaking up in February of 2023.
