Southern Tier DJs may be a name that is new to you, but we’ve been rocking the music scene since the mid-90s, under lots of different pseudonyms. Growing up in the heart of the Florida Funky Breakbeat movement with weekly shows by acts like DJ Icey, Kimball Collins, Sasha & Digweed, and some who aren’t with us anymore, like Mojo & Rick I West (RIP gents) was just the beginning. We hosted our first event, Dementia Tour ’98 (working as Unseen Productions back then) at the Florida Theater in Gainesville back in December of 1998, which featured 30 DJs under 1 roof for just $10! Since then, we’ve played over 250 events in across Florida, Georgia, Las Vegas, Denver, and now we’re here in the Southern Tier to stay.

With over 25 years of industry experience, Southern Tier DJs is your one-stop shop for all things mobile event related. We work hand in hand with Southern Tier Event Planning to cover all your coordination efforts for weddings, birthday parties, holiday parties, banquets and corporate events, school functions, sporting events, and even night clubs. Whatever your needs might be, just ask before you decide, because we don’t do this for the money, we do it because our heart won’t let us do anything else.

Our main mission is to breathe some nightlife (not bar life) into the beautiful Southern Tier of NY, because we came here 2 months before COVID and never really got to see any of the vitality we keep hearing about. Please join us in our journey to bring balance back to the Southern Tier.

JB Thomas aka DJ Sharted is a DJ/Producer/Remixer who lives & rocks out in South & Central Florida since the mid 90’s. Since day one he's always been deep into the music & the scene. Upon arrival in SFL, he discovered the breaks scene & dove in deep. While studying at Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale in the later 90’s JB began toying with digital sound & shortly after began creating beats, mixes & remixes. Continually supporting the breaks scene, playing & attending as many shows & events as possible, JB's all about the breaks. He also currently co-owns & manages The Monkey Tennis Group, organizes the Festival of Funk (& Friends) event series, & along with DJ Chronic he's the other 1/2 of Get Funk'd!, a founding member of The Grand Slam Crew (a world wide congress of breakers), The VP of the Florida Chapter of 1200 Hustle, & the creative force & admin behind the exclusive breakbeat groups including F**K You I'm A Florida Breaks DJ, Peace Love Unity Respect, Breakers Revenge, Best of Breakbeats, The Break Room & Gourmet Beats.
