Ramage is a brand new piece of work from Namscha, separated in two fifteen-minute long tracks: “Latent” & “Ardent”. Following on her contribution to the first Syrinx Music compilation two years ago, Namscha expands on her aesthetics on a longer format, which gives her music full expression: both tracks feel like they were given their own life, following unpredictable paths.

Ramage consists in live collages, with Nasmcha aiming to record a feeling of instantaneousness. The artist uses a sampler filled with her own voice, as well as bugs & animal bruises, traditional instruments from all over the world and various sounds. The music slowly develops at its own pace, melting cold and warm atmospherics, noise and rhythm, quietness and tension, hardcore kicks and organic sounds.

Ramage’s atmospheres can alternatively be occult or melodic, bright or noisy, as noises, percussion patterns, uncertain vocals slowly gather in the mix, depicting clear, oneiric pictures. Namscha brings forth sonic themes reaching for the sacred and ritual, in an homage to her meeting with crow voices.

Both freeform and captivating, these thirty minutes capture Namscha’s productions’ expressiveness, in line with Syrinx’ aesthetics: an open conception of electronic music, in the crossroads between the lab & the club.
