I was absolutely captivated by these sounds back in the mid 90's so it's absolutely right to showcase something from an artist like Trax who has been pioneering since the beginning.

Once again the Finnish stalwart masterfully combines experimental breaks and punishing bass with impressive precision, with large doses of his characteristically crunchy sound throughout. This is a 5 track release packed with imagination and one that will no doubt demand several listens. Infader also returns after previously appearing on the ‘Legacy EP’, a fellow Finn who like Fanu has been pushing the sound for the last 2 decades and more.

Cosmic Twist EP is a Repress from 1993 written and produced by Iain Clifton. These tunes never made it past the white label promo, since the original distributor from back in the day went bust, along with the stock. Great to be able to bring this back to life for this follow up EP to BSBR002 "Respect to all that skated at Bowes Lyon skatepark, Stevenage and raved at Liberty 1992" ."

Lenzman is back on Metalheadz with his first original work since his debut album Looking At The Stars. The EP is everything you would expect from Lenzman; soulful and well produced with a firm eye on the dancefloor. The release features regular collaborators Steo, Dan Stezo and newcomer producer Forren.  It’s a welcome return to the label for Lenzman with six massive tracks that remind us of what a talent the producer is.

Translation revisits Theory’s ‘Babylon Dem’ from the Solstice EP (2010), through the eyes of its creator, The Untouchables, Double 0, and Mantra – each deliver fresh interpretations of the original, while maintaining its infectious rebel sound. Up first, Theory sets the foundation with his ‘Dem A Pree Remix’, an update for 2016 that re-explores the critical interplay between the chords and dark swirling FX of its predecessor. Next, The Untouchables brighten things up with a dub/reggae-inspired version, with a live feel to it. Veteran producer Double 0 flexes his musical versatility on the ‘Dubwise Remix’, a heavyweight rhythm for the dance with fluttering renegade sonics and a nasty low-end thump. Mantra opts for a more abstract deconstruction of the original on the ‘Charlatan Remix’, crafting a menacing and hypnotic tribal sound from the echo chamber, with sinister reverberations to close things out.
