Focusing on energy rather than genre, DJ Shahmaran draws inspiration from rave, jungle, juke, electro, pop; anything and everything carried through breakbeat rhythms. His mixes are high in energy marked with episodic moments of reflection. Named after the myth of Shahmaran, his intention with mixing is to lure you into her cave filled with nocturnal critters and together embark on a dramatic journey through escape, ecstacy, and love; the groundwork for you to dance away the contradictions of life. 


ACIDIC MALE 
Acidic Male is interested in industrial sounds, hypnotic drum patterns and experimental vocals. Having her performer name as a revenge title, she searches to “other” herself into the position of a poetic perpetrator. Her sounds have been described as “elegant industrial”, yet in her selections she attempts to showcase her love for genre-wide experimentalism.
