My name is Mario and I'm a composer - I love working on films, games, TV shows; basically, I love the unique challenges in tone and pacing that different projects present. I'm a hybrid digital/analog guy who loves to bring a lot of performance in my compositions.  Stuffy bio below:

Juno nominated composer, songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist, Mario Vaira has had his music featured in big theatres and small living rooms in over 40 countries worldwide. Mario is constantly striving to bring honestly and truth to his compositions, and his works have been featured in many award winning productions including "Boar Attack" (Best Animated Short, Worldwide Short Film Festival), the OLN/NatGeo series "Word Travels" (Best Documentary Series nomination, Gemini Awards), and "Kodiak" (Portable Choice Award, Portable Film Festival).

A special focus for Mario's career has been music for children, as early mentorship in music had a profound affect on him at a young age. As sole producer and co-writer for the acclaimed musical duo Bobs & LoLo, he's been credited with a Juno nomination, ( as a songwriter & producer - Best Children's Album - "Action Packed"), Western Canadian Music Awards and Parent's Choice Gold Medals, as well as having been a featured performer at the Vancouver International Children's Festival, The PNE, Capital Ex, The Calgary Stampede, Juno Award Week, and The Pemberton Music Festival. Having shared the stage with Charlotte Diamond, Fred Penner, The Kerplunks and Norman Foote, Mario also produced Will Stroet's "My Backyard" (Best Children's Album nomination, Western Canadian Music Awards), and "Walk & Roll".

As a songwriter, Mario has written with and for such artists as Bobs & LoLo, Will Stroet, Kyprios, Vince Vaccaro, Carly Rae Jepsen, Mackenzie Porter, Randy Ponzio, DNA6, Quest Poetics, and Carmen & Camille.

New Piano Music (NPM) Collective consists of piano composers from all over the world collaborating to show you fresh solo piano music every month.

Oh My Heart is an indie alternative band out of the San Francisco Bay Area. The band consists of guitarists Derek Cox and Drew Zamora, singer Jamie Piazza, bassist Forbes Zamora, and drummer Noel Agtane. It began with Derek and Forbes, who enlisted their friend and coworker Noel. After writing several songs as a trio, they went on the hunt for a singer, and found Jamie. Oh My Heart began as a four piece band, but soon realized that they needed a second guitarist, which is when Forbes' brother Drew joined. With  Forbes’ driving bass lines, his brother's chunky rhythms, and Noel’s solid drumming, the band maintains a groove like no other. Combine that with Derek's airy riffs and Jamie’s  razor sharp vocals, they create a sound all their own

Oh My Heart has completed their debut EP with Donald Scully, which released on August 10, 2013

I MUGA sono una band formatasi ufficialmente intorno alla primavera del 2011. Dopo lo scioglimento dei BIOS, Stefano Parma (bassista degli ultimi citati) decide di continuare il progetto con un personaggio di sua conoscenza, il chitarrista Antonio Marinelli.  Assieme alla tastiera synth, di Gabriele Motta (detto TRINCIO), continuano a riproporre i brani della vecchia formazione senza l’ ausilio della batteria. Nel frattempo A. Marinelli entra a far parte di un altro gruppo e conosce il batterista Alessandro Sironi con cui si instaura subito un gran feeling. Trincio decide di mollare e i tre restant,i ri-arrangiano, in breve tempo, i vari brani dell’ EP dei BIOS (intanto, passa alla voce A.Marinelli). Nell’ Aprile 2011 il nome cambia e diventa MUGA e si comincia la stesura di nuovi brani, alcuni facenti parte del Demo uscito nel 2012.


A fine 2012 inzia la pre produzione del primo album, omonimo, registrato poi tra il 10 e il 13 Gennaio 2013 presso l'Aemme Studio di Garlate (Italia) in presa diretta, per preservare le dinamiche e il suono originario della band. Dopo un lungo ed elaborato processo di elaborazione grafica l'ualbum Muga esce a Settembre 2013.

Il 7 Novembre 2013 viene annunciata da parte del gruppo la collaborazione con un nuovo bassista, Stefano Battisti, musicista di estrazione Jazz diplomato al CPM di Milano.

 MUGA is a band formed around the spring of 2011. After the dissolution of BIOS , Stefano Parma ( bassist of the last mentioned) decided to continue the project with a character of its knowledge , guitarist Anthony Marinelli . Together with the keyboard synth , Gabriel Motta ( said TRINCIO ) , continue to repeat the tracks of the old training without the ' help of the battery. Meanwhile A. Marinelli becomes part of another group and knows the drummer Alessandro Sironi which is established immediately a great feeling . Trincio decides to give up and the three restant , the re- make do in a short time , the various songs on the ' EP of the BIOS ( meanwhile, goes to voice A.Marinelli ) . In 'April 2011, the name changes and becomes MUGA and start writing new songs, some part of the demo was released in 2012.


At the end of 2012 begins the pre-production of the first album , self-titled , registered, then between 10 and 13 January 2013 at the Studio Aemme Garlate ( Italy ) live, to preserve the dynamics and the original sound of the band. After a long and elaborate process of the graphics processing ualbum Muga comes to September 2013.

On November 7, 2013 the group announced the collaboration with a new bassist , Stephen Battisti, Jazz musician from a graduate at the CPM in Milan .
