We released our first album a while ago, and since then we've had a bunch of encounters that got us thinking about the corporate world and the classic corporate uncle who doesn't really get the concept of artistic integrity. Special shoutout to Daud Ramay for killing it on the drums in this one.

A contemporary instrumental fusion/funk band, Mughal-E-Funk is a combination of ambient music, groovy melodies and incredibly inventive percussion and bass parts.

Comprising four members, the line-up includes Kami Paul on the drums, Rufus Shahzad on synths and keyboard, Rakae Jamil on Sitar and Farhan Ali on the bass. The band has been working on original compositions since 2015, and have performed at various events in Karachi, Lahore and Hyderabad. The band’s sound as well as their name is inspired by the Mughal Era. Their compositions are musical interpretations of the lives and cultural contributions of the Mughal Emperors in the realms of art, music, poetry and literature.

All of Mughal-E-Funk's music is licensed and distributed by rearts records globally.
