Viken Arman - Mayan Warrior - Burning Man 2022

In May last year I was invited as one of the acts alongside my friends Chambord and Made in TLV to the Xamanic Journey in Basilicata, Italy, where I was asked to lead the ‘Friday Night Boogie Extravaganza’ in the stunning Castello di San Basilio. This was an absolutely unforgettable weekend with music, friendship, Italian food and - of course - mezcal!

I wanted to wait to share this set, mainly because I had been given some unreleased gems I couldn’t post online yet but also because I felt like the set ended up way more eclectic than what I normally play. It was the first night of the weekend, after a long dinner in the castle followed by the acoustic performance of Slim & The Beast. When the band finished playing, around midnight, the guests - who had come from all over the world - were more than ready rave but we also had to close at 3 am. For this reason, there wasn’t time to do a long build up and instead I went straight into an eclectic mix of all my favourite old and new dance tunes.

What a fun night in this epic Tribeca loft. After killer sets from @karlimusik and @carmeldj I had the pleasure to close the night with my current favorite bangers. A night that required maybe a touch more indie and melodic tracks due to the acoustic of the wood beamed magnificent room. It was surely one for the books with an energy i had not felt playing in a long time, with sweaty dancing souls all round the booth and an incredible energy on the dancefloor. Sebastian has been sharing and mixing his tunes through the world since he got his first MK2 back in Paris in 2003. Discovering nightlife at Le Palace in the late 90s and soon collecting vinyl's from Parisian stores like Katapult, Techno Import or Kitsuné, the original inspiration came from the Detroit Scene through Garnier's Rex residencies and the terrific Kill the DJ parties at le Pulp. 
He has been behind the decks throughout the US, Europe, Latin America and currently resides in  New York City. Sharing stage with names like Birds of Minds, Unders, Mandrake & Dramian (Mayan Warrior), Carlita, Maga, Bonjour Ben, Djuma Soundsystem, Patrik Khach and Holmar his experience engaging the crowd and technical expertise are praised by the industry. As both a DJ and Music Curator at Amaya Society in New York, he is well-equipped to take his audience on a unified journey of downtempo, melodic house with deep and dark transporting sounds.
