     A young drum & bass and dubstep producer from Norwich and also the newest signee for Liondub's Street Series, over the last three years Upgrade has risen to notice with a series of strong digital releases on Prime Audio, Dub All or Nothing, Future Follower, and Your Mum Records. He made his vinyl debut last year on a split with Serial Killaz on their own label, has been remixed by Annix, and his dense drops have enjoyed support from such heavyweights as Nicky Blackmarket, Skream, Benga, and new leaders like Guv, Funtcase, and Rowney & Propz. 
     Upgrade rolls out hard to start another gritty Street Series entry on ‘Calling’, a militant, bassline-led jump up cut with a singular rhythmic focus. ‘Sounds of the Jungle’ takes after its title and utilizes a bed of bird chirps and atmospheric pads to contrast ominous vocal samples and rude drum and bass workouts. Moving deeper into the wilderness, ‘The Congo’ follows a similar framework of animal cries, atmospheres, samples, and harder drums but this time opts for a slightly gentler, smoother ride. It’s back to the rudeboy styles for ‘The Haunted’, a halftime stomper whose unsettling combination of divebomb bass figures, gutteral croaking, and creepy atmospheres will send the tame running. Last up, Upgrade rerubs a classic Liondub 45 reggae cut from Ticklah and Courtney John, leaving small parts of the vocal and production intact but wrapping it tightly around his own rugged jump up styles. It’s a heavy closing hit for an already gruff EP, once again bringing it full circle from UK to Brooklyn to Kinston, to take Liondub's Street Series worldwide.
