Over the past couple of years the music of Austrian producer Mefjus has become synonymous with high calibre, sometimes ferocious yet always quality drum and bass productions.

Mefjus. If you don't know, now you know. The Austrian is one of the first names to roll off the tongue in discussions of that quintessential continental neurofunk sound. For those unawares, it's like the bastard child of drum & bass and prog-metal, and it's not for the faint of heart.  

Mefjus' forthcoming album Emulation is chock-full of absolutely fucking mental ruminations on the neurofunk style, and we've got the premiere of "Surrounded," a brutal bass-wave of a tune that at once batters your senses with intensity, complexity, and undeniable toe-tappin' groove.

What a year it's been. Its like since we stopped trying to walk in the path that others have left and create our own paths things have changed. Set Him Up Soldiers (SHUS) and HBS all started out as a bit of a laugh with no intention to become anything other than fun. Now I look behind us and were supported by an army of the best supporters I've EVER seen in Drum and Bass and other genres..

We've created an idea with HBS that has seemed to reach out to people from all different shapes of life. It was a risk to start with and now, is a necessity! I want to personally thank those who really listen to the lyrics, work out the meanings and support the movement. Without you, none of this is possible. If you didn't experience last years madness, then I'm excited for you..If you did...then you know.....The story must continue.......
