A stellar remix here by legendary electronic music composer Matthew Herbert, his first floor-focused House release in quite a few years. Returning to the form that first propelled him to stardom in the ’90s, Herbert’s Let Yourself Go Mix maintains the subtle beauty of the original while upping the ante for the dance floor. He rearranges Gry’s vocal, working a hook around a playful sprinkling of his signature sample edits before unloading entirely with a heavy organ groove that takes the tune into sublime territory. The first cold breezes and the fading warmth of the sun, which we just took for granted so easily, sketch the outline of that mild and soothing melancholia resting in autumn's palms. A mood we can very well enjoy to bury in deeply and with Luise's newest release listen to closely. »MENTIS EXCESSUS« is a tenderly crafted tale, a musical journey that paints broad images of false memories and blurry resemblances. Like a Déjà-vu that lasts too long to put aside, it crawls up your neck to give you that eerie feeling of curiosity with which you look at the uncanny world that suddenly surrounds you.

We are very pleased to welcome »WIDE AWAKE« as the most recent addition to Luises's sheltered, little family, a project that has its foundations at the talented hands and hearts of »Niju«, »Ninze« & »Okaxy«. These three banded together for greater good to provide nothing less, but their as well as Laut & Luise's first album.

Johannes Klingebiel - All Around Me (RSS Disco's All Over You Mix)

At the beginning of last year I went to listen and see Isolée during his live act in Lausanne. He started that night with a really amazing tune - something so full of love and harmony, something that is definitely rare at the moment.

One week later that song was still in my mind and so I asked Rajko what it was, to which he answered: "I did a soundtrack for a skateboard movie and the track I started my live set with is a draft of it." I asked him to make me an edit to be played in my set. I’ve been playing "Dennis" for the past year in all my sets around the world and always receive a fantastic reaction from the smiling crowd.

One year later this special song called "Dennis" is ready to be played by you and the world and I'm really proud and excited to start "Xtra Tamed" with such a masterpiece! I asked one of my best friends and one of the most talented producers around, Baïkal (from Maeve and Innervisions), to work on the remix and trust me when I say that this rework has a similarly funny but long story as the original cut! Isolée vs Baikal sounds like a match made in heaven, don't ya think?

Maybe one day I'll release a book about all these genius making-of stories but for now, it’s all about the music and emotions. The mastering was carefully done by Hans at Deinklang. You can also check out the skate video mentioned above here: http://rollenaller.de/#
