Tel Aviv super group @megaphonim are bringing their off-kilter energy to Feines Tier in form of their new „Namal Ashdod“ EP with four original tracks and hell of a @simple-symmetry remix. Even though they’re all quite unique on their own, what unites the tracks is the combination of raw beats and vocals with an oddly catchy pop approach to the writing of the music. Be it in the aptly titled „After of Disaster“ with its let-loose energy, the slow-rolling „Lo Titfos Oti“, which could have been picked from an Andrew Weatherall (RIP) dj-set, or the title track with its break-beats and its unforeseeable left-turns, there’s always this playful and off-the-wall energy keeping the ball going and bouncing. Making the debut release on their new label, Powder Music, Made in TLV drop ‘Rehab’ with remix support from Simple Symmetry & Xen, and Rina.

Powder music is a new imprint from Israeli duo Liraz Levinson
and Aviv Bens (Made in TLV). Breaking on to the scene in 2017 with a series of incendiary releases, they were quickly snapped up by Asymmetric, Keinemusik and Blue Shadow. Now bedded into the fabric of the Tel Aviv elite, they travel the world with their unique sound.

‘Rehab’ is a rubbery mid set chugger with bags of personality. An acidic bass takes the lead from bar one growing organically into an infectious groove aimed squarely at the cooler floors. On remix duties, Simple Symmetry and Xen drop the tempo to envision a dark, druggy dub version that swells with e-moments, while Rina delves into harrowing soundscape-y minimalism.

Kadosh is deeply rooted in the underground scene, playing everywhere from Fabric to Watergate to Blue Marlin in Ibiza. Adding another label debut to his extensive back catalogue, Kadosh arrives on Human By Default for the 'Amoladore' EP, backed by accomplished sibling duo Simple Symmetry on remix duties.

Title track ‘Amoladore’ opens with lush, acoustic beats and gleaming pads featuring vocals from São Paulo-born singer and a regular Red Axes collaborator, Abrão, that bring a sense of serenity amongst the supple grooves. The sublime ‘Paradise Lost’ showcases another spine-tingling melodic sound with well-crafted chords over rolling drums that make for a meditative aura. Craig Bratley has been carving out a distinct and somewhat peculiar discography since his debut release ‘Free Music’ landed in 2004. The foundations of his tracks are often weighty and driving, leaving the outer layers to go intricately wild.  

Andrew Weatherall stands tall among British dance music’s most prominent figures. He’s been killing it for decades, and shows no signs of stopping. ‘Play The Game (Andrew Weatheral remix)’ stretches the track out into a mesmerising, 10-minute masterpiece that goes both minimal and maximal as it traverses through spidery percussive lines and crashing guitar chords. Being known as the producing part of „Pardon Moi“ and a key artist on the UK’s Nein Records Label, Freudenthal comes up with a new remix of Amsterdam based Sinchi Collective on Emerald and Doreen Records. Here we go with an exclusive first listen of some of his magic disco madness.

Mateo Gonzales. In Mexico, even children know his name. One of the most versatile Latin American producers, known for his monikers Bufi, Theus Mago and Sonido Phantasma, one of the co-founders of Duro Label, he released a huge amount of music on such labels as Electrique Music, Kitsune, Discotexas, Platino, My Favorite Robot, Turbo Records etc, he is one of the pioneers of the Mexican modern electronic scene.
This is not his first collaboration with Los Angeles  producer Missy Livingston aka Moderna (known for her work with Ghostly International), at the beginning of last year they recorded together a powerful EP on Chloe's Kill The DJ.

This time they are released on another French, Marseille's label La Dame Noir. The new EP includes 3 original mixes plus remixes from Sebastian Voigt and a remix from the Mateo Gonzalez himself under one of his monikers - Bufi, which we are happy to present to you today.
Moderna & Theus Mago - Tecno Misogino (Bufi Remix) - a dancefloor-worthy groove monster, anchored by a funky, but menacing bassline with vocal cuts and a catchy guitar loop, rework that bringing original into a chugging, low slung
prowler with raw biker disco percussion. 
Yet again here La Dame Noir have served up a fresh modern dark disco package that packs real heat. Enjoy

Years of sweating in garage bands evidently prepared the Lipsky brothers to break boundaries in commercial club culture with a sound that somehow evokes the essence of psych-rock while never sounding out of place alongside certified technoid bangers.

Their musical breadth as producers speaks to their talent as DJs, with a deep passion for record digging that again conveys very specific sensibilities – a love for the exotic, the yearning for transcendence, as well as the rough rebellious energy of punk. They produce dance music from the margins, full of with narrative, melody, and drama. It’s intense, in a good way.* 

Their affiliations to broad-spectrum labels like Multi Culti, Disco Halal and Correspondant might paint some picture of their range, and their stellar remixes for artists like Nicola Cruz, Adam Port, Autarkic and Polo & Pan may have earned them lots of plays,  but their debut LP ‘Sorry, We Did Something Wrong’ is undoubtedly their most ambitious and elaborate statement to date. Drenched in their influences, rich in collabs with a range of artists like Sepultura’s Igor Cavalera and C.A.R., the record is at once ambitious and, as the title suggests, apologetic. Their capacity for embracing these polarities, a radical boldness tempered by self-consciousness, it may divide the audience, but it shows unmistakable personality.

This year, Simple Symmetry start a new chapter both in music and life after fleeing their native Russia, they returned to Multi Culti with an epic, mournful EP called “Problem,” featuring a huge remix by long-time compatriots Red Axes. Another huge edit for CULTED is on deck, as well as a peak-time rework of Drugface, following up on their massive mix of ‘In the Clouds.’
