"AVEN" is the new EP of the artist Jean Dasso aka ORSSO, also known under his former producer's name Yeahman. This opus (to be released at the end of 2022 on UK label Earthly Measures) presents a more club-like facet, sounds that aim to cross dancefloors, through travel and trance. We can’t talk about ORSSO’s music without talking about colors, a disparate cohesion, an immensely textured journey, and it would be an illuminating one.

On this new EP of four tracks, we recognize the sound range of the multi-instrumentalist, a very true sensibility for dreamy and adventurous melodies, even if he has, for the occasion, swapped his guitars for synthesizers, percussions and sharp drum machines.
Orsso draws a landscape filled with a new energy. Jean's vision is palpable, softening some of those annoying rules and borders in electronic music. It's colorful on all counts, but also finding back his Global Bass Music influences. The rhythms intermingle, transcend the borders, and we discover with surprise dancehall and breakbeat facets ("Almadies"; "Curruca"), modular soarings ("White Lichen"), or a delicious dub ride ("Plateforme"). A journey through many soundscapes, an excuse to wander elsewhere

There is also this strand running though it all, non-tangible, that makes us all feel very reassured. The party is never far, it depends on whether you arrive before, during or after.

According to Mexico's Huichol People, man was created out of the Pacific Ocean, emerging as a little worm.

Shamanism is a way of life for the Huichol. It is something inherent to life itself, as it is the way of living in harmony with nature and all of creation.

The Huichol live in a remote region of the Sierra Madre mountain range. Their rugged environment has protected them from cultural intrusion for hundreds of years.

The Huichol way of life continues today much as it has for thousands of years. Still without electricity or running water, the Huichol people rely on their relationship with nature to sustain their communities.

bio:
started making electronic music 2004, since i started exploring the electronic music world there is nothing else that interests me. I started with classical house, and later with minimal house and a little bit minimal techno. but i never could identify with these scenes, so i slowly drifted deeper in to dub techno. i never felt that feelings in a genre before. it´s like once you are in dub techno, you never get out. i´m very proud to become a part of this very underrated scene. and i hope it will make me this fun for a long time. i also met the nicest people in the dub techno scene. what i want to do is, make people floating away and forget there problems.
