Acid Pauli’s foray into the world of modular synthesis in his music making resulted in one of last year's most intriguing albums - MOD. His third full-length released on his own Ouïe label, Martin Gretschmann’s modular systems allowed him to traverse new territories in his creative process. A year later, we are treated to four new interpretations of some of the album’s highlights via friends and family from the Berlin underground. 

JakoJako is a techno artist who primarily per- forms live and uses modular synthesis extensi- vely in her music. Her rework of Quantize Hell takes the original into even further directions - an intricate, organic, exploration of modular interplay. 

Hamburg based DJ and producer Nutia, shares a wonderful reinterpretation of Intellijel Bell - a heavy slo-mo vibe that connects airy sounds and a thick bottom end. 

No Kick, No Cry is overhauled by Frankfurt- based artist Daniel 'Flug 8' Herrmann, who delivers a textured, dreamy soundscape to lose yourself in. 

Bar 25 legend Pilocka Krach is responsible for the remix of Sublime Frequencies of Cairo - her trippy, heavy rework is a real treat for those who like their sounds pitched down and psychedelic.

Kalyi Jag (Romani for "Black Fire") is a Hungarian Romani folk music group.

The group was founded in Budapest by Vlax Roma members who originated from the Szatmár county.[1][2] It had roots in the Táncház movement. They were named Young Masters of Folk Art in 1979. The first album was released in 1987 and became a success.

The music is based on traditional Romani music, primarily Vlax Roma music, with some modernization in the interpretations, and the group has included such instruments as the guitar and the mandolin.

Present of Future Pasts is a musical stroll, bringing the mind from one place to another. Da Iguana refers to reptilians for a reason: he produces cold blood music, explosive and unpredictable, with synths that have a reptilian scales texture and chameleon colors. In this mini LP you’ll find slow, almost still parts, and suddenly running or undulating, attacking or hiding. 
The music here is all about contrast. Duality is everywhere in nature: beautiful but dangerous, day and night, cold and hot, light and dark, life and death. Da Iguana is amazed how things are connected, how something positive can underline something negative, how opposites attract each other. This is how he built this 7 track LP: sometimes slow and deep, sometimes fast and high, bringing you to many places at once.
Last but not least, Da Iguana’s work is mixing cultures. Because he is traveling a lot, he cooks fusion, mixes fusion, and lives fusion. Mixing cultures is one of the rare aspects of globalization that he finds beautiful and he shows it brilliantly with this release, strongly inspired by the coolest thing about world music.

Inhale deeply and immerse yourself once more in the ethereal sounds of @ali_dada, as "nanou" comes to life once again with four reinterpretations of their original EP. The remixes showcase the talents of Lokke, Skarú, Jiony, and Daniel Imhof—whose creative endeavors add new dimensions to ali dada's dreamy and unwinding music.

Their original productions artfully blend elements from diverse and distant genres, fusing experimental ambient vibes with jazzy, psychedelic guitars, and mellow hip-hop beats. Through extended jam sessions, the trio crafts music that evokes a desire to slow down, linger, and immerse oneself in the carefully crafted sonic landscapes. The music is filled with subtle elements, including snippets and field recordings, delivering delightful acoustic surprises that encourage dreaming and transcendence. 
The remixers share their personal experiences with "nanou" and the motivations behind their creative choices. @lokke expressed his admiration for the warm music and chose "zwueschetag" for its beautiful softness. @skaruu, drawn to the relaxing summer vibes, selected "laguna" to experiment with beat patterns and sample chopping. @jiony found comfort in the EP's blend of electronic downtempo and instrumental music, remixing "345" to infuse it with downtempo dance floor drums and nostalgic guitar phrases. @daniel-imhof, while initially hesitant to remix ali dada's unique music, found inspiration during his days in the serene valley of Onsernone, rearranging and adding subtle touches to "eineno."
 
The "Nanou Remixes" EP is a reflection of creativity, showcasing the versatility and ingenuity of both ali dada and the remixers. It stays true to the essence of "nanou" but like revisiting a beloved place with fresh, wonder-filled eyes, it beckons listeners to step aboard again, finding the familiar with a delightful, evocative twist.
