Madorasindahouse’s yearly compilation has become somewhat of a staple of trends for the year to come. Including newcomers and old friends, MIDH Selects provides a handful of selections ranging from afro, afro tech, soulful, or deep and organic house music of the highest quality. 

This year, for the 4th installment, we have compiled 14 tracks from producers from all around the world.

Debuting on the label, we got Morda from the legendary duo Black Motion, SA’s own Deep Narratives, Soulholic & 7options, Massh, and unique Spanish talent G.Zamora, Thimble, Homeboyz from Portugal, Israeli and Greek collab between Moish & Vasilis featuring Idd Aziz, Berlin-based Los Cabra in collaboration with Cacao's Carlos Barbero, intriguing Belgian producer Copal, Haza from France, Gone Deville from Canada, and legendary deep house greek producer DSF. 

Also, returning to MIDH, it's the greek Maestro Nikos Diamantopoulos and Void Mykonos Resident Liva K.

HaZa - Horizon

The French-Caribbean pop band La Compagnie Créole’s music has been making people dance since the 70’s; and their timeless 1987 hit ‘A.I.E’ still sits among MoBlack Records’ all-time favorites. Driving our time travel to 80’s French West Indies and paying proper homage to the buoyant classic are HaZa and MoBlack himself. First up, DJ/producer HaZa injects his penchant for deep, melodic voyages into his reinterpretation of ‘A.I.E’. Infusing dynamic symphonies into the original’s seductive Caribbean rhythms, HaZa’s remix is a glorious harmony of lush organic sounds and uplifting electronic nuances.  MoBlack completes the EP with a breathtaking remix that keeps the original’s essence intact while elevating to new dimensions. Setting things off with full-bodied drum patterns, this atmospheric moodsetter journeys through tender melodic climaxes and visionary soundscapes. An unwinding experience for body and mind.

Intrinsically linked to their beautifully curated festival, the platform draws from the same philosophies as their event series. It’s about depth, connection, shared moments, feelings and innovation centered around amplifying the human experience. The music shared through the label embodies the spirit of WhoMadeWho, a trio who have strived to maintain the heart and soul of their musical expression, from their early forays into the world of Indie, to their more recent electronic exploits.

With the first release they have collaborated with a British artist to facilitate his debut release. Known by the artist name Everything Is Art, the London-based Manchester-born creative draws from a deep well of musical touch points. From Aphex Twin and Mike Oldfield to trance and Balearic Beats, Everything Is Art channels the soulful and spiritual side of electronic music into his productions. Together they have produced a spellbinding cut - ‘All The Love’. A highlight in WhoMadeWho’s recent sets, the track works off a sturdy percussive base with stirring vocals that go straight to the heart of your emotional centre. Shrouded in layers of warm synth, the energy builds slowly, guiding us into a rousing breakdown, punctuated by solemn piano keys and reverberating vocals. The latest edition of our free download series finds Rauschhaus returning together with Mark Tarmonea. Much loved in the world of progressive house and techno, Rauschhaus has been a near permanent fixture of Beatport’s Top 100 charts over the last several years. Well travelled as a DJ, the German artist also boasts an impressive discography, having showcased his music on Beatfreak Recordings, Eleatics Records, Einmusika, Timeless Moment and Stil Vor Talent. Similarly electronic live act Mark Tarmonea is touring for years, releasing distinctive melodic techno on Labels like 3000Grad, Einmusika, Moonbootique and his own imprints Eye And Eye And Bull In A China Shop. Earlier this year the duo came together for their first ever collaborative project, embarking on the daunting task of re-interpreting D'Angelo’s ‘Unshaken’ in a club inspired context.
